I use this unrefined shea butter to make my handmade products. Soaps lotions and body butters.I love unrefined butters because it has no additives and it can be used straight out of the container. I've purchased mango, cocoa, and shea butters from this Plant Guru and I'm very pleased. Thank you! Plant Guru
It’s five pounds!!! Not 8 or 16 ounces!!! The product is awesome and so is the price...I use it in soaps, lotions, butters and just plain.
It is raw unrefined and still has all its great qualities!!! ( including the scent which I happen to love )...
I blended this up with some organic coconut oil and organic hemp oil for more creamy and spreadable product to treat my psoriasis it has helped tremendously
Great product. I have been looking for real shea butter and I found it. GREAT
I had been buying beauty products w Shea butter in them. But this is ONLY Shea butter .. I mix Essentials oils in with a small amount in a small Tupperware container .. put it in a hot water bath .. it melts down to liquid which I use then & solidifys into a smoother texture to use ... I love it ..

Description
Made from the same Karite nut (Butyrospermum parkii). It is processed similarly, but the root of the Borututu Tree (Cochlospermum angolense) is added during the milling process. The root is responsible for the bright yellow color. Borututu is a medicinal plant from Africa.
Although both yellow & ivory shea butter come from the same source, the yellow variety is slightly more firm & takes a little longer to absorb into the skin. The smell is very similar to ivory shea butter, a slightly sweet & nutty scent. The two butters are more or less the same. Some people say that yellow is better for skin conditions like eczema & psoriasis, because it stays on the skin longer. Our preference is for ivory, due to it's softer texture & neutral color. You cant go wrong either way, try both out for yourself & see which one you like better!
Shea Butter has been used to help heal burns, sores, scars, dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, & stretch marks. It may also help diminish wrinkles by moisturizing the skin, promoting cell renewal, & increasing circulation. It also contains cinnamic acid, a substance that helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays. The butter is a particularly effective moisturizer because it contains so many fatty acids, which are needed to retain skin moisture & elasticity. The high fatty acid content also makes it an excellent additive to soap, shampoos, anti-aging creams, cosmetics, lotions, & massage oils. Its soft, butter-like texture melts readily into the skin. Shea Butter protects the skin from both environmental & free-radical damage. It contains vitamins A and E, & has demonstrated both antimicrobial & anti-inflammatory properties. It's also used externally as a detox wash as a tea made from the bark of the to assist the functions of the liver and gallbladder.
i have probably tried about 17 different brands of raw shea from online vendors and this is my favorite for price/quality ratio. It's exactly what you should expect from good quality raw shea, nutty smell, excellent moisturizing, easily absorbed, smooth and no grainy feeling when melted. I use it unadulterated for lib balm, use it as superfat for soaps, makes amazing body butter, and is great for salves. Can't fault the product at all, but i admit that availability is sometimes limiting, 2 separate instances where i tried to order it and it was out of stock, forcing me to pay slightly more for similar quality.
Love shea butter
