Just recently started growing my beard out, l bought a brush once lt was thick even using a regular comb for a while. I've recently been in the market for more beard care accessories and products. Until I bought and received the Hunter Jack sandalwood comb, I just figured wooden combs were a fad. I'm happy to report that I was wrong. I am never without it anymore I leep it in my vehicle or pocket now, the leather case is awesome, and the fit and finish of the comb itself is even more awesome. The comb fits perfectly into a back pocket and the comb is comfortable in hand and easy to use. Beard management throughout the day is much easier and enjoyable in between jobs almost becomes addicting. The tines are smooth and well cut, very uniform and the comb itself smells fantastic, if you're not careful you might think you're in a grove of sandalwood trees, therecis a small scent on the comb maybe it will go away with use. All in all I'm incredibly happy with this purchase and look forward to using it every day for years to come. Just might purchase a couple more for spares.
I must say I am very impressed. I've heard so much about using wooden combs for beards and at first I was completely skeptical. After some further research, I decided "why the hell not?". After using this for about a week now, I can truly say that I'm not disappointed.
Before I even talk about how the comb works, I must give props to the neat little pouch that the comb comes in. I like the design of it and it fits like a charm in my pocket. Now onto the comb itself. It's a good size for its job and it definitely is capable of getting those pesky knots out and it smoothly detangles my beard. My beard has never looked better.
So far so good. With some of the mixed reviews about the comb and even the sheath not being as it showed in the picture. I’m happy to say it’s exactly as described in the picture. Even down to the review of how it smell. I like the to different sides. I use the smaller for my mustache and the other for the rest of my beard. Glides through your beard and doesn’t snag like a plastic comb. Fits great in my pocket even along with my wallet. Love the smell of the wood. It reminds me of a manly smell. We work hard on our beards and they only deserve the very best. I believe I have received that from this comb.
Wonderful quality. Dry we'll done. Feels great going through your beard. Excellent craftsmanship. I recommend highly. When your beard oil gets into the tines it carries the aroma and smells great the next time you comb. This product is much better then the other beard combs I've seen. Five stars.
Great little comb for the money. I bought it to replace another sandlewood beard comb that broke in half in my toiletry bag. There's so many new "beard companies" out there making these combs and other beard products in general, it was hard for me to narrow it down to this one. I couldn't find my old comb, so I decided on this comb because it appeared to have that greenish tint that I liked so much about my old comb. Truth be told, each sandlewood comb is probably slightly different because the wood varies so much. But mine looks good, more yellow that the stock picture shows, but still unique and a great looking comb. The manufacturing is good - no notches or rough spots to snag hairs, everything is smooth like it should be. Comb smells pretty good too. Only thing keeping this from 5-stars is the "leather" sleeve. Feels more like pleather to me, which is totally fine and understandable for the money, but I would have like to see it a little thicker. It's paper thin and single stiched. I anticipate after a month of taking this in and out of my pocket that the sleeve will come apart. Overall not a big deal because it's the comb that matters the most, but since the sleeve is included as a part of the title and stock picture of this comb, figured I'd review it.

I just received mine. Like the person below, I had forgotten I ordered it because it took so long. Mine also came in a little bubble mailer and did NOT include the leather(ish) comb case. Little disappointed in that. The comb itself seems to be good quality. It's my first one and feels nice running through my beard. All of the teeth are straight. There are a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes in the wood, but nothing major.
I bought one for my brother for Christmas and he LOVES IT!!! though being the manly beard man that he is he would never say that but I can tell cause he always busts it out to comb his beastly beard. It's gotten to the point that I have gotten quite jealous of watching him comb that beautiful beard with that amazing comb that although I am a female I am considering ways to grow a beard of my own so I can get a comb too!!!
For those who ride and have a beard this is perfect. The struggle of the wind and a helmet strap can leave the ol mane a bit worse for the wear! The old solution was to bring a comb generally plastic and standard issue black. There are a few nuisances with this:
1) The plastic black comb is not very convenient to keep in a pocket due to length.
2) Plastic combs tend to break in the front or back pocket while riding.
This was the perfect solution. With its leather pouch and perfect size it can go in any pocket and stay protected from breakage. It also is not a pain (literally) in the you know what... after over 500 miles in the back pocket it was not even noticible and upon arrival at the destination it was whole, undamaged, and easily accessible to get all the knots out!!!
I've had other combs that have all ended up with missing teeth and weren't able to withstand the daily combing and oiling of a proper beard. I love that this has both large and small teeth to prevent any knots or matter from sticking in the beard

I bought this beard comb as a gift for my husband - whose beard is semi-coarse - and he absolutely loves it! He carries around it with him and he uses it for his hair as well! It definitely lives up to everything it claims! The fact that the sandalwood doesn't create static has really made a difference (and he's mentioned that it smells good in his beard too). He loves that it doesn't snag or catch at his hair while he's combing and we've both noticed his beard looking smoother and nicer since he started using this comb every day! Definitely recommend this as a gift for the bearded men in your life!
