Second time I've purchased from Plant Guru. Love the product but both purchases got shipped to me and both times the container was busted all to hell. Please send in a better container or something next time please. Hell, send it in a ziploc baggie for all I care.
the only problem was the plastic container was cracked in shipping. otherwise great product
I love Shea Butter in my skin and hair care so I mix my own. Great product and a great price
I am pleased with The actual product. However, the container that the Shea butter comes in are usually cracked. The containers should be more sturdier.

Description
Made from the same Karite nut (Butyrospermum parkii). It is processed similarly, but the root of the Borututu Tree (Cochlospermum angolense) is added during the milling process. The root is responsible for the bright yellow color. Borututu is a medicinal plant from Africa.
Although both yellow & ivory shea butter come from the same source, the yellow variety is slightly more firm & takes a little longer to absorb into the skin. The smell is very similar to ivory shea butter, a slightly sweet & nutty scent. The two butters are more or less the same. Some people say that yellow is better for skin conditions like eczema & psoriasis, because it stays on the skin longer. Our preference is for ivory, due to it's softer texture & neutral color. You cant go wrong either way, try both out for yourself & see which one you like better!

I am new to DIY moisturizers and butters so I very carefully read all the reviews for the oils, extracts and butters I would need. After reading hundreds (literally hundreds) of reviews from multiple sellers, I concluded that no shea batch will ever be exactly the same as the last batch purchased from the exact same seller. It is a natural product with no preservatives and additives which is handmade by regular people and not machines so it will not always be the same. The minute I accepted this, I set about finding a seller with a consistent record and good price. For me, it was more good price that consistency. I just needed a batch that would work for both hair and skin products.
Anyhoooo, this container arrived and it smelled good without any strong odor. I live in Florida and it gets so hot that any strong odor you're wearing magnifies times ten in the heat so this is perfect. I quickly ordered my oils and extracts and finally made a batch of eczema cream last night. This product melted easily and whipped perfectly with my oils, extracts and honey to make the perfect batch of eczema cream for daughter.
The quality is good, the price is good and the resulting product is good. Unless this seller makes any major changes to their pricing and quality I think I will stick with them moving forward.
