Purchased these for myself and as a gift to a friend. Wood and horn combs are the best for your hair as they catch less than other products like plastic. They arrived timely, and just as pictured, each comb was different in the figuring of the wood and the carvings are beautiful! The combs smell wonderful, but they did need oiled as they were quite dry. I placed them in a ziploc bag with grape seed oil, as it is unscented I didn't want it competing with the rich sandal wood smell, left over night, then wipe away any excess oil. I find I have to oil them about once a month to keep them from looking dry and the wood becoming brittle and weak. They are great for scalp massage and making your hair shiny and static free. Excellent product!
I received these combs a little more than a month ago and they have definitely lived up to my expectations. I love the look and smell of the natural wood and the carving is an absolute joy as I have always loved wood crafts.
As for the craftsmanship and performance, both are excellent! You are given two combs, one with teeth that are closer together and another with teeth spaced further apart. I tend to use the wide tooth comb more often, but I do not experience snagging or breakage with either. I am a dark complected woman with corse, medium density hair which I am nursing back to health after years of mistreatment. My hair is very thankful for these combs!!! I have used plastic combs, which are the devil and have tried other wooden combs, but these by far are the best.
I was anxious about purchasing these combs after reading some of the reviews. After using these combs my anxiety went away. They have an excellent but not overwhelming scent of sandlewood. I use the fine tooth for my beard and the wide tooth for my hair. So far no issues with breaking. The only negative is that they do seem to need to be oiled as the wood isn't as smooth as one would think. But it doesn't have an impact on the performance. My hair (very long) doesn't snag or catch, and neither does my beard. Will probably use grape seed oil as this is an unscented oil as another review suggested.
Incredible craftsmanship, the details are absolutely gorgeous! The combs look even more beautiful in person! And the smell! The authentic sandalwood smell that seeps from the wood seals the deal! These are among the best sandalwood combs I have ever purchased.

These combs are amazingly beautiful AND they work. After a shower I rub in some beard oil and use the wide tooth first for a few minutes to get out any snags or tangles and then switch to the fine tooth for a secondary pass. They seem to be holding up thus far and I am very pleased that I purchased them. Anyone looking to tame a beard; I highly recommend them!
My hair loves these, and so do I.

These don't pull or scratch like a plastic comb, good solid combs. Love the detail of the carvings on them
