This beard trimmer was a nice little surprise. It is adjustable so you can actually use it to cut your hair as well and it works just as well! It's great for beard trimming, and being adjustable you can have different shades to your beard, for example if you want a slightly thicker goatee than the rest of your beard, you can do that. The battery seems pretty sturdy and it hasn't died on me *after* it is fully charged. make sure yours is charged, as charging seems to take a really long time. One way I solved this was just leaving it plugged in for a few hours, after that it's ready to use. Overall it's a nice trimmer, especially for the price!
I've been using this trimmer for over 3 months and let me tell you that there is nothing not to love about this trimmer. It has everything I was looking for. It is portable, fairly easy to clean, it holds its charge very well (I have had to charge it only twice in all this time) and the best part for me is that it is adjustable up to 8 mm. I use it mostly for mustache grooming. Other trimmers I've seen are only adjustable to a very low setting, like 2 mm. I don't like my mustache trimmed that low so it is nice that with this I get to adjust it to my desired setting. There are also two angles that you can use to trim with the grill on, and if you remove it you can get a straight cut just like you would with clippers. However, this is better than using clippers because of the smaller size that allows you to get a more precise cut/trim.
The only negative is that it took me a while to figure out that the attachment could be removed to get the straight cut. This was my fault for not reading the instructions. So spend a few minutes to read the instructions and see how you can get the most out of this trimmer and learn how to maintain it so it lasts a long time.
After purchasing a beard trimmer for twice the price last year I became frustrated with the difficulty of not only maintaining the height of the trim but many times the charge would die down during one trimming. I was looking for a new one randomly online and after reading many positive reviews thought I would take a shot at the JTrim. So glad I did! First of all, it was delivered as promised and in a timely manner. Easy operation, no long drawn out instructions. The height adjuster works wonderfully so no need for switching attachments for different trimming areas thereby eliminating unnecessary pieces cluttering up space. Cleanup is simple. And one of the most appreciated aspects of this trimmer for me is the amount of time the charge lasts! I used it two weeks ago and pulled it out this morning and it ran as strong and long as it did on a full charge. I am 63 years old and have had some sort of facial hair to trim since I got out of the Army 40 years ago and this is by far the best trimmer I've ever owned.
Works great for beards or where else you have hair, careful though because if you take the guard off it can nick you and can draw blood, learned that the hard way. Battery can last a while, by that it can survive a once a week shave, 3 times a month, for a month or two than you need to recharge it after a several uses of 10-20 minute sessions. All and all, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to rid of some hair.
Have been using a couple months now, and really like it, does great job trimming up beard/mustache, and helps trim the edges before shaving. So far holds the charge quite some time, and hasn't pulled any, just trims as described. Overall very happy. Easy to hold, comfortable, lite weight, would recommend.

Good quality trimmer. The adjustable length is a very nice feature and after experimenting with different lengths I get a perfect trim every time. It never nicks my skin when I take the adjustable head off which is nice for clearing out longer hairs. I also get great battery life. I've charged it maybe once or twice in the past nearly 3 months using it a couple times a week for a few minutes or so each. This blade does exactly what I bought it for and met or exceeded my expectations so I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
Got this for my husband who is trying to keep his 3-day stubble looking neat for work. He absolutely loves it. I clean it and oil it for him once a week, though, since he doesn't bother. It does help keep it working well to do maintenance. If it was mine, I'd do that every time I used it.
This has many adjustments and does a great job trimming my beard. Only problem is that when you charge it up, it never tells you that it is fully charged. I plug it in for a few hours every couple of weeks. Works fine.
Update: 8/8/2018
I still like it - 2 caveats and the silver lining:
1. It no longer charges at all - i have been pretty careful to discharge fully and not overcharge. It seems to be just the way of these batteries
2. The comb can be fairly fragile, especially with travel. I use an older Norelco travel case to protect it, but it still cracked on one side. Still functions, but was a little more flexible as a result (cut depth less precise - i just use now at 1/2 step higher)
3. At this price point, you can buy 2 for the price of one of most of the others, and they also have their pros and cons.
I bought this as a replacement for a Phillips-Norelco "turbo" (vacuum) style trimmer that lasted me less than a 1.5 years - it seems like their product quality is really suffering lately, It simply didn't ever hold a charge like my first. This trimmer cant be beat for the price - very reliable, smooth, trims more evenly with the "fixed" comb than the Phillips product with it's "floating" device....you use it a little differently (it trims more reliably closer, so adjust for longer/higher cut). Trims comfortably, and holds charge for a week or more given my relatively modest goatee.
I can't give 5 stars because it's still new - will see what the durability looks like, but i used it for the first time on a marathon 2 week business trip followed by a getaway for R&R and only needed to charge twice. Save your old travel case if you have one, because this doesn't come with it, but good value for and performance
Boyfriend loved it and said it works great. It's smooth and trims nicely.
