So, I've been using this brush for a good 5 months. The brush does what it claims to be able to do. The thing is, it's horse hair. This means that they will be softer than boar bristles. It's very good, and effective for short beards, or soft hair; I have VERY coarse hair. It's awesome for the mustache! If you have coarse hair, or a beard with an inch, or longer hair, this won't work for you. You can try, but don't blame the product if it doesn't work.
Breaking it down to pros and cons:
Pros:
A good distributor of beard oil.
Hairs do stay in the brush, I've had a few come out over 5 months. (8 hairs to be exact).
Very handy and portable.
A good bang for the buck.
Cons:
Not suitable for guys with long beards, even if they have soft and fine hair.
Not suitable for coarse hair.
Due to real hair, may develop a pungent smell, if used on wet hair.
Not very easy to clean.
Can't be a double purpose brush that can work with hair on head, along with facial hair.
Not very effective in removing beardruff.
First impressions were nice. Item came as described; small round brush with "Peter's Beard" on bottom of wood. The bristles are fairly long and soft in firmness/stiffness. If it matters, the images are true to form and color. In comparing it to my previous existing brush, the bristles do appear to be boar hair (if not similar animal). The tin can is also great for traveling. It closes well without being a struggle to remove, even with greasy/oily hands.
As usual, the first few uses resulted in a few bristles falling out, often collecting in my bear. Truthfully not a big deal, I've never had a new brush not do this. It's only been a few days, but so far the brush it doing as expected. A nice soft brush for anyone with fairly short facial hair. Add a comb to fight tangling and you should be good to go.
Right now I'm waiting to get some oils and balms incorporated with the brush. As usual, I'll update this as need be. Right now. A solid 5 stars for someone looking for a small soft facing hair brush.
I read the reviews and was worried I made the wrong purchase. Yes, the brush is not as firm as I was anticipating. However, unless you have really coarse hairs it will be perfect. Also, I noticed people talking about the size. It fits your hand to be exact. If you want a bigger brush, this is not the one for you. Overall it is great.
It is a good brush. I have a really thick beard, like the type of beard that is so hot in the summer that you have to shave it short or it creates its own climate, and this brush doeskin really get through it to the skin. It does however de-tangle and comes in a little case to keep it in the center console of my car. I am not disappointed but if you are like me and could have been the GEICO caveman without any CGI or special effects maybe spring for a synthetic brush to get all the way through the beard.
I love the brush. I use it every morning with my beard balm. The bristles are soft and effective. The can the brush is packaged in is great for both storage and travel. I'll be purchasing a second to keep at work! I'd highly recommend getting either yourself or your bearded friend The Beard Brush.

I've been using this brush now for a few weeks and I am very satisfied with it. It's a great quality item. I use it several times a daily. It small and store neatly in its container. I will get another one to keep handy at my office. Highly recommend!!
So to start the product comes exactly as shown. Light weight wood handle and a tin case. The product workers well enough but the one thing I have to say is I'd wish the bristles where a bit stiffer. They are quite soft so others no skin irritation but for someone with a thicker beard it doesn't penetrate the first layer or so of hair. Over all a good product for the price, you can't go wrong.
This is too soft for thicker/curly hair. BUT if you use a boar brush to brush out your beard and THEN use oil and this brush to fluff up your beard then yur beard is gonna look nice and smooth!
From using a normal hair brush every morning to this. Does not irritate my face and brushes my beard to the way i want it. Feels lovely on the skin. Use this with my bear balm every morning and keeps everything looking neat for my office job. Would be buying more of these as gifts for the guys in my family.
Good brush for the price. I use this as my secondary brush for applying my beard oil. Very soft bristles and does a nice job lathering my beard up. Would have given 5 stars but I'm already losing bristles.
