The Castor plant is native to Ethiopia, Brazil, India, West Indies, and some areas of the Mediterranean. Black Castor Oil is produced by roasting and grinding Castor seeds, and then the seeds undergo the cold-pressing method. Black Castor Oil gets the coloration from the ashes obtained from roasting the Castor seeds, which then gets added back into the oil.
