I switched to Jack Black's Wax Pomade after trying Clay Pomade. The Clay Pomade had a stronger hold but was extremely sticky and hard to apply.
Wax Pomade is an awesome product especially due to the addition of tea tree and sage leaf oils which are good for your scalp. The hold is fairly strong but flexible. If you need to re-style, simply use water and run a comb through your hair and you'll be good as new.
For comparison, I've used everything from American Crew, Paul Mitchell, Uppercut, Bumble & Bumble, and Kiehl's. Jack Black really blew away the competition with this one.
I purchased well over $100 in other products trying to find something to replace a whipped wax I was using which was becoming more expensive and inconvenient to get. I can say that I've finally found it. It took a few days to determine the right amount to use. You don't need much for great control. I found by working it until it's warm in my hands resulted in the best results. Put it on and comb everything in place. Once it set a little, comb through again and you have a great style and control. Will be purchasing again.
First time buying this. I've been buying Jack Black Hair Cream, which is an excellent product. At this time, I don't know which I like better. The advantage of this product is that it gives your hair a bit more hold and the extra shine is nice, too.
i like the result. i am female, have very short hair, am allergic to everything and completely inept at styling hair. (that's why i cut it all off.) this stuff makes my hair look better with very little effort. has nice hold, adds fullness. no headaches or itchy skin. mild aroma dissipates quickly. i will buy this again.
This has a flexible, light hold for my thick and dense hair. I usually need something with a higher hold, but for what it is, it's great and it is one of my favorites when I don't need a the hold. It applies very easily, leaves a nice natural shine, doesn't feel gunky, smells great with a hint of citrus,

I bought this because FX Molding Wax is no longer being made. I needed something comparable. This gets high points for shine and leaving your hair feeling soft and natural. Slightly less points for holding power. Even though it is pretty expensive, you get an extra ounce compared to most waxes.

Excellent product, swift delivery. The products performs as indicated. Had used clay type products. This one is super, easy to apply, & does make the hair shine. Two thumbs up. Buy it!
Looks good smells good holds good feels good
I find this to be the best pomade ever. It holds well, controls frizz, and has a lovely clean aroma and feel. I also like the way it provides shine in a natural way, and highlights gray streaks.............
