I had an upcoming special occasion and really wanted some extra bling and came across this Ruth Paul Skin Eco Body Glitter Gel and was intrigued by the ingredients and that it wouldn't harm the environment. I live by the sea and absolutely refuse to use any kind of "glitter" product made of plastic (have you seen those alarming photos of fish gulping glitter?) and didn't even know eco-glitter existed until now. I still wasn't totally convinced that I would like it, on account I am over 50, and don't really need any "unicorn sparkles" so was kinda skeptical. But, when I applied it to my decolletage and arms, right before putting on my new sexy low-cut black blouse, I was so happy with the results. Very subtle, the sparkles are very tiny so it is like a light sheen. After applying on my skin, I ran my hands over my hair as well, and a pretty shine twinkled in the right light. I was happy that it wasn't over-the-top glittery. So subtle I was brave enough to experiment on my face too. You can apply more, and make it brighter but I was content with the lightness of it. And, it was like using a good lotion. Made my skin soft and healthy looking. I never thought, at my age, that I'd be so happy rubbing a glitter lotion all over me. I didn't even bother washing my hands afterward. Didn't stick to my clothes and just naturally wore off. Generous amount too; I use it probably more than I should, but it will last a long time. Don't let the semi-cheesy words on the bottle throw you off- this stuff is high end.
I absolutely LOVE this product! It smells nice and the glitter is so pretty, it stays on really well too. If you do not want glittery hands tho, smear with a wash cloth or paper towel, I honestly dont care bc i love sparkles. Anyway, this is the best body glitter Ive ever used, it doesnt feel sticky or anything, pure amazing shimmer! It adds a really nice sparkle on top of tattoos also!
It’s my middle school years all over again! Seriously this stuff is amazing. I purchased it for a Halloween customer but can tell you my daughter and I will be using it all the time. It goes on extremely well and doesn’t clump. As an added bonus it smells nice.
I purchased this for my 10-year-old daughter who had been literally BEGGING for all things glitter all summer long! She loves trying to wear make-up, but I will have none of it because, well...she's 10! This glitter gel was PERFECT! It provided a perfect amount of shimmer and shine to her face, arms, and hair that she felt like a queen...LOL! The consistency is not gunky or sticky, which is nice. The gel glides on evenly and smoothly and it also does not leave a funky residue! Great stocking stuffer item for the tween age kiddos and even for the grown-up who wants to feel young again! Great product!
This body glitter, in my opinion, has plenty of sparkle. Some reviews said they didn't feel it glittered enough; however, I think the shine this provides is plenty. It also has a nice, fresh lemony scent! The scent doesn't last long, so don't worry if you don't want to smell like lemons--the glitter does last though, and that's the important thing!
I tried a small area of skin on my hand, as recommended, before applying to my face (I have super sensitive skin) and encountered no problems. I then dabbed some on my face, felt a very slight tingly sensation (went away after a few minutes) then the rest of the day there was no tingly feeling at all. The glitter lasted from 9 am when I applied it, all the right through to midnight, when I finally washed it off.
What I like most about it is, that it is eco-friendly, and safe for kids of all ages. I'll definitely buy again! Thanks!

This glitter is pretty. It is pretty subtle, which is nice for me, since my daughters are younger and not allowed to wear make up. It adds a nice little touch to a cute hair style, or shimmer if applied to their skin. You are given a decent amount of glitter in the bottle, and the applicator gives you a nice amount of product to apply. The color is nice, and shimmery, and adds just enough accentuation. I am really happy with this glitter, and will continue to use it. I would like to try the other color options, as I think they all are going to be really flattering.
The eco body glitter gel was nice for me and my daughter. I was able to add a little to give me an extra shine with my makeup. It's also perfect to give a little glitter to your arms. I'm looking forward to using it at recital time to make my daughter stand out on stage! I love that it doesnt leave my skin feeling sticky. I also like that it's good for the environment!
I got this for my makeup obsessed 7 year old daughter. She loves all things that sparkle so this was a no brainer. The minty scent is nice. She decided to coat herself in it from head to toe! Can you imagine just imagine how excited I was?? I was so happy to find out that it cleans off easily. She applied it heavily to her hair and I was able to get it all out without any issues. When worn in moderation it looks very pretty ; ) We will definitely be buying more in the other colors
Great value bottle of eco-friendly cosmetic glitter gel, perfect for glitter lovers of all ages. I got this for an (adult) girlfriend that is obsessed with glitter after seeing her checking out tons of different brands on several shopping trips. She LOVED that it was a big bottle, but also that it moisturized and had a nice peppermint scent. I recommend this product for any glitter lovers!
I purchased this product for slime! I run a summer camp and wanted to have the kids make glitter slime. Since I didn't want to add more plastic (most glitter) to our planet, I decided to try this.
It worked great, a little more subtle then the other stuff but I didn't let them put that much. Maybe more would give more sparkle.
The kids were happy with that little extra in their slime and I was happy to make a conscious choice in product.
Glad some companies are trying to give the consumers better, kinder choices!
