Best oil I've tried yet.
I've gone through several different beard balms and oils and this one has taken its place as my Go-To beard oil. For context my beard is about 6 inches in length.
Some major aspects that separate it from others is:
- Conditions your beard to a comfortable softness (removing any itchiness) without being "heavy" or greasy feeling.
-Relatively neutral odor that is pleasant and not overpowering.

I’ve read some people are complaining about spillage, well it’s not the bottles fault if you bump it, it’s going to tip over, and if it’s leaking maybe you should thighten the dropper properly it’s not the bottles fault. Also some are saying it’s too sweet a scent, I humbly disagree, it’s about as manly spice aroma as you can get.
What can I say this stuff is what others wish they could be, EXCELLENT SMELL and the BAY RUM BALM smells as good as the BEARD OIL BAY RUM, if you want your beard to smell good as I do, than this product is it, I luv it and is my top great smelling oil and balm, GREAT PRODUCT The Gentleman’s Beard Oil and Balm!
A lot of the negative reviews, probably are from shills, who either are affiliated with other oil brands or own the outfit, competition is fierce among them, too many details given just to say you don’t like this brand, unjustly.
Purchased my second bottle from these guys already. I was having irritation and somewhat itchy and flaky skin. I put this stuff on my goatee and it just went away! I love it. Smells great. Feels great. Works great. A tad expensive, but worth every penny. I got a larger bottle of the competitors stuff for the same price, but not nearly as good. I quickly switched back to the gentleman's beard product.
Bought this for my husband and have been trying new brands every few months. This smells Amazing to me!!! I am picky about certain smells and often my husband can't wear certain scents because they give me a headache, but this scent is great. I've tried a few beard oils and so far this is my favorite. Glass bottle with glass dropper make storage and application easy. I was interested in the Bay Rum scent and ordered it in a leap of faith. When it arrived I eagerly rubbed a few drops into my face mane. The scent is very pleasing! Not overpowering, and doesn't stick around all day.
One attribute that surprised me was how clear the oil is. I've tried others that are yellow. The Gentleman's Beard is clear!

I have used several different balms but this is my first beard oil. I am really pleased with it. First off--great smell! It doesn't matter how well a oil or balm works, if it smells bad or too strong, I'm not going to use it. The best way I can describe this scent is faintly tropical mixed with a bit of that old barbershop smell I remember as a kid. It is not strong but rather subtle. Just a very pleasant, masculine scent that my wife really loves.
As for the oil's effect on my beard, I am really pleased. I don't have really coarse beard hair, but I do get flyaways and this tames them down. Overall, the beard looks healthier. Just a bit of shine and no heavy, oil feeling. You won't be doing any shaping with this oil, but that is really more the department of a balm, so I plan to try their Bay Rum balm at some point in future.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product and recommend it. Good stuff for all your bearded folk (and the women who love them).
My husband absolutely loves this beard oil by The Gentleman's Beard. The first product he received from this company was the beard balm with the bay rum scent and it worked so well that he had to have the beard oil when the one he had run out. So far it has worked much better than the brand that he used before and we paid twice as much for it!

Oil fragrance is pleasant, masculine, not overpowering, dissipates within a few minutes of application. I've been using it daily for about two weeks now. My beard is on the fuller side (approx 1" length), I've found 20 drops after the shower seems about right (nickle to quarter size puddle in the palm). Beard feels nice and smooth after rubbing in, but does seem to dry out within an hour or so, after which point the beard takes on a somewhat brittle texture for the rest of the day. This oil is on the thinner side compared to others I've tried and doesn't seem to provide that all-day silky feel, and may be better suited for shorter length beards - your mileage may vary. Overall I'm satisfied with this product.
