I have always loved my Wahl trimmers. This one is no exception. It trims hairs perfectly with no pulling. My only gripe about this product is that there is no way to tell when it is fully charged or that it is even charging. A charge indicator would have been nice to have. I just leave it plugged in for a full day and figure that it much be all the way charged at that point then it sits in a drawer for a month until I think It may need another charge. One benefit of the lithium battery i that it will give you pretty much full power up until it dies on you... which I haven't had happen yet!
This was purchased to replace a similar wahl trimmer that was 10 years old. It is smoother and quieter than the old model and after a couple months of using it I think it will be just fine..
I charged this once when I first received it over a month go. After use every other day I have still not had to change it! The charging interval is so huge that I hope I don't lose the charger between uses!
Update... I have now had this item for 3 months and use it 3 times a week. I have still not had to charge it. There is witchcraft at work here.
Had a Wahl for 20 years ... great trimmer. But the blade spring tensioner finally broke ( talk about a rough shave) so I bought a silver model that appeared to be the same one, but was now made in China... this turned out to be a vibrating, loud, piece of junk that felt like I was dragging my Stihl across my face. Then I saw this model -- it is again made in USA ( with some foreign components), smooth trim,extremely quiet, and a lithium battery that I've only charged once since I got this last month. Very pleased.
I am giving this 5-stars for now. I may change it later. I have read all the reviews saying this thing snags and cuts the skin. I have used it three times so far and maybe I have been lucky so far, but it as worked perfectly. I absolutely would prefer my Norelco Cool Skin I bought back in 2000 over this, but dead is dead. This has a more "industrial" feel to it than the Norelco, but it absolutely gets the job done. I am very happy with it so far. It comes with near a dozen attachments I will never use. I always take my beard/mustache down to the skin without a full shave.

I used it to shave my head with no guard.
I rarely get snipped by it, so that's a plus.
It doesn't cut as close as my last Wahl unit but it still does an acceptable job.
The last unit I had would cut so short that I could go a full week between cuts, and I still do now, but with this one I could stand to give myself a fresh cut in the 5-6 day range.
So, like I said...it's acceptable. I just wish it would cut just a smidge closer like my last unit.
The quick charge feature is super nice too. One min of charge time equals 10 minutes of use or something like that?
You might want to do your homework on that little fact before you take my word for it but it's something along those lines.
Light, powerful and holds a charge for a long time. Only down side is no charging light so I know it's charged. Seems to be a theme with these trimmers. First Wahl trimmer I had bit the dust (battery wouldn't hold charge after 8 years of use, seemed reasonable). Wish the first one had a charge light too. So I decided to go back after the first one lived so long. Pleased with the result. Use ever other day. Good attachment options and even a little carry case for them.
Love it. I started with a remington version I got from a White Elephant christmas gift. Loved shaving with it. I hate blade shaving. I was sailing down in Key West and picked one like this up to keep on my boat. It was so much better I ditched the remington and bought a second one for home.
I've went through many beard trimmers over the years and this is hands down the best one. The battery last forever and charges fast. It has different lengths including the one I actually want. Most trimmers come with a few different lengths.
I had the Wahl model that was double this price...it worked well for a few years, but this model was half the price and the battery lasts and lasts and has more attachments than you will need! Very pleased!
