I bought this as one of my boyfriends Christmas presents. Now this man was just starting to grow a beard but stares at it for at least 30 minutes a day to gage the growth on it so he's a little obsessed BUT he says he loves the products. The oil and balm really make his beard and mustache shine and thicken up. The shampoo did not make his face dry or break out either which was a big concern because he has quite sensitive skin. I was also concerned with how it would smell seeing as I kiss him quite regularly but it's simple smooth masculine woodsy scent. He said it was the best he received this Christmas. I'll probably be re-upping with this brand for the balm and oil soon for him. I would definitely would by this again.
My husband does construction which means he’s around dust and dirt all day. His skin under his beard was VERY flaky and very dry. It was coming to a point we’re he was considering cutting his beard off. In a matter days of using this product the irritation and flacks have gone. His hair is still very dry but I’m sure consist use his beard will become softer.
In regards of the shampoo the other reviews were helpful.. only a few drops is necessary to lather your beard.
The smell: isn’t too potent but it is a woodsy smell. I don’t mind it and either does he.

Mountaineer Products are the best I have found. Interesting enough when I was looking around for beard products didn’t know which was which. I took a gamble & ordered this kit. I love it, I have been using for quite some time now & starting to get some great remakes about my beard. Beware on the beard shampoo a little bit goes along way. Two drops is more than enough.
I bought this beard care set for my man and he loves it. It makes his beard soft and manageable, plus it smells amazing. The canvas bag will make it easier for him to take his products along on his many travels, too.
My husband LOVES this stuff. And so do I. No more scratchy beard! Yay:) I noticed a difference in a week. And he smells like a tree. (Timber scent) Haha. I love it.

my husband really appreciated this kit. he uses it daily, has noticed q lot how his beard has felt since he began using it. beard is a lot more soft. well worth the price. brush and comb hold up very well. oil goes a long way.
I usually don't give reviews for stuff but I had to for this. As someone setting out on growing their beard properly for the first time i wanted to give it the proper care, mountaineer has the right products. My skin is super sensitive and it shows how natural and great their products are, because i feel absolutely no skin irritation.

The only thing that bothers me this far is that I wish the beard comb was about 1-2 inches longer. Otherwise the wash, oil and balm all meet my expectations.
