This works very well. I applied henna one day. Left it for 2.5 hours and washed it. The day after I applied Indigo powder. Just mixed it with warm water and applied. Left it for 2.5 hours and washed. All the reddish hair turned to beautiful black. Glad to have found a natural hair dye. Just have to be a little patient.
I use this to cover my gray. It doesn't necessarly cover my gray, but it does make it darker. Its gentle on my hair which is good since I started started falling out. some of my grays have turned purple. Which I love.
Mixed with pure henna for great auburn tone, mixes well.
