REFECTOCIL COLOR KIT- Natural Brown Cream Hair Dye+ Liquid Oxidant 3% 3.38 oz + Mixing Brush + Mixing Dish

REFECTOCIL COLOR KIT- Natural Brown Cream Hair Dye+ Liquid Oxidant 3% 3.38 oz + Mixing Brush + Mixing Dish

This is a fantastic at-home product. I'd say the natural brown alone is a good fit for just about any range of dark brown/brunette and for some brown/auburn heads out there - redheads (natural or professional) should combine the Refectocil natural brown (3.0) with the Refectocil red (4.1) for a better red/brown color match. (Don't waste your time with the in-between auburn shade). The standard directions advise to allow 5-10 minutes, with one pea size amount of color, and 10-15 drops of the mixer; however I recommend 2 pea size drops of the natural brown, 1 pea size drop of the red, and approx 5-6 drops of the activator/mixer, to make for a thicker mixture. (If it's too thin, it will go on streaky)... leave on for 10-15 min, and wipe off from there. Note: you'll need to purchase the kit (which includes the activator/mixer, brush and mixing dish). Just like any at-home color treatments, you'll just have to experiment with the amount of each color when mixing up the perfect red/brown color for your brows, for you redheads out there. I've attached pictures of how dark it looks when applied, versus the final product. (With ZERO make up, for a natural photo). After trying just the natural brown by itself once before, and the second time, mixing in some red, I think I've found the perfect match. Enjoy!

So I bought both Natural brown (number 3) and Light brown (3.1) together, because my hair color is medium blonde and wasn't sure which color to buy. I was more looking forward to its skin-staining effect rather than hair dying; and for that I must say I didn't like it 100%. Whether you pick brown or light brown, your skin stains to more like greyish color. As for dying the eyebrow, the natural brown comes out DARK. They fade eventually; but I can say it gives you a natural look.

Next time I do it--I'm thinking every month or two-- I am going to mix the two colors, 2 Light brown : 1 Natural brown. I think that will be just right for me.

This stuff is fantastic! I finally have decent brows. My husband complimented me on how good am I looking lately without knowing what's changed.
The brow tint gives the best result if:
- you have light eyebrows. Mine are light brown and coloring them in 03 Natural brown makes a big difference;
- your brows are quite sparse. Mine are sparse, but the tint grabs to any tiny hair and makes them darker, means brows become fuller. On top of that my skin also stays tinted for about 3 days, so during the first three days, I don't need to use any brow product except a clear gel.
I like to retouch my brows every three weeks. I only need 15 minutes for that. Since I use brow gel daily to fill in my brows the tinting process for me is completely mess free and every time I get the same result.

The kit has everything that's needed. Toss away the mixing spatula, it's useless. Use the other end of the angled brush instead. When you mix this product remember you don't need to use as much as suggested in instruction, the half would be more than enough. Even if you have big bushy brows the amount of the product you need is less than a half of what is suggested in the instruction.

HG!

Excellent product!!!
Very easy to use and it works just like expected. I purchased the natural brown 3 and it looks very natural a little darker but I know it will fade to a lighter brown since I did test the color on my wrist a couple days ago. I’m not sure how long it will last on my eyebrows but I will update later.
I mixed equal parts of color and developer in a little mixing cup, I used an old Anastasia brow brush I had to apply the product and it worked great. I let the product dry for about 10 minutes on each eyebrow then wiped it off with a damp towel.

This is the second time I've ordered this product to recreate what used to be dark brown thick-ish eyebrows that have grown thinner and whiter. As another reviewer wrote, you should definitely do a test first, especially if you have sensitive skin. What works for me is to carefully apply vaseline around my eyebrows and then color in 2-minute intervals, or 2 minutes, then 1 minute at a time. I wipe off both the vaseline and extra color with make-up wipes, and if any stray color remains, scrub very gently around each eyebrow. While it's a neat and fast little system, be sure to protect the area--sink or vanity--and quickly look for and clean up any tiny splashes of dye.

Who knew I could get such great results at home? I sure didn't! Wow, I seriously missed the boat all these years by not using this sooner!

I have not so great eyebrows, over plucked years ago, sparse, too light for my mousy (highlighted, light brown) hair, and uncomplimentary to my washed out skin tone. Many years ago I got my eyebrows dyed at an esthitician's, but I guess she didn't use a dark enough color enough to make a difference, so I thought it was a waste of money and never bothered trying again - what a mistake, I just needed to go darker! Fast forward decades and I purchased the Refectocil Color Kit in Natural Brown (which has warnings about using by the eyes - be very careful if you're going to do so) left it on for about four minutes, and OMG I have eyebrows! The color faded completely after about a month, used it again and it looks great. The Natural Brown is pretty dark, actually, but it really helps my sparse brows stand out. Tried it on my sister, who has great brows already, and even though it was left to develop for only a couple of minutes, she felt the result was too dark. I had used it on myself to fill in a couple of spots about a week after the initial coloring, and it did make mine a little too dark as well, so I think this is one of those things where through a little trial and error one will find the right amount of time for developing and perhaps combination of colors to get the perfect brow color. I'm going to purchase a tube of Light Brown and try it mixed with the Natural as that might be more forgiving if I do a touch up again. Overall, I am so happy I tried doing my own brows with Refectocil, I just wish I had started decades ago!

I have to fill my brows in every day as they are thin and sparse. I prefer the look when I get them tinted as it looks better and also dyes the skin of my brows so I spend much less time in front of the mirror drawing them back on. I didn't like the cost or the time it took to get to spa that tints them. After doing much research and youtube videos I found this kit. This brown is perfect for my dark brown hair. A lot of browns have too much red in them and this one does not. You have to buy the oxidant too so this kit is perfect. After 2 minutes, I have natural looking brows and acheived the same result I got at the spa! This will also last me years as I just need very little. If you are interested, do your own due diligence and try this out. Yes, test it on your arm, etc first. Be smart about this.

Perfect for tinting eyebrows/lashes. As a makeup artist I get just the results my client wants. It's versatile in shade, can be light brown for fair skin or dark brown for darker skin depending on time left on the hair. It burns terribly if it gets in the eyes, but I haven't discovered a dye that doesn't when tinting eyelashes. I use eye-makeup remover when removing it so my client doesn't have tinted skin; shade is not comprised with eye-makeup remover either.

Before&20 minutes later.

This is a really great product/kit for eyes brows. It comes with everything you need. I have dark hair and brows, but have a few sparse places from over plucking in the 90’s. I’ve managed to get a slight bit of regrowth, but definitely thinner then the rest of my brows. I also have a couple hairs in each brow that are graying. All in all, I just wanted to even out my brow color and get the sparser hairs to match the rest for a more groomed look. I purchased natural brown after reading the reviews. It really is a great all around color - although I will admit I panicked a bit during first use. When you open the cream and activator and first mix it in the mixing cup, it is a lighter (dare I say slightly reddish brown) color. Once I put it on my brow hairs, it changed to a much darker brown as I combed it all through. There were a couple of minutes I debated taking it off, because I thought it might be shockingly dark. I did wipe it away just under the specified time and it looked natural and great. So it didn’t come out red or black on me. I’m so glad I trusted myself and followed through with this. My hair stylist asked me if I microbladed my brows. So, I came home and placed a second order. A definite winner for me!
