I tried this to experience the scent after having already tried the "Wood and Spice" one.
This one is definitely a little more potent in my opinion, but smells of grass (fresh cut, dry - not the wet moldy kind) and tress/cypress like the name says.
It lasts through the day, but definitely starts off pretty strong, so you don't need much
As far as controlling beard itch and conditioning the hair/face - it does a fantastic job.
I used to use just Witch Hazel post shave and that worked, but didn't last through the day like this does.
Technically, its not an after shave anyway, but can definitely be used as one.
Its like leave in conditioner for your beard that doesn't make it all shiny like some balms.
Definintely Proraso quality as with many of their other shaving supplies.
Growing a beard for the first time and this balm is the cure for the new beard itch. The scent (cypress & vetyver) is really pleasant but not too overpowering. I definitely do not need to use any cologne after this.
The directions recommended every other day and this cadence has worked well so far. Another fine product from Proraso!
Love the scent and how it makes my skin feel. I use it as a post shave to calm and soften my skin.

Great Product
I wrote a review saying I bought the wrong product due to not paying adequate attention, but that it was a good product. It was for the wrong product, though - the aftershave balm version of this. I don't know if there's a way to cancel an already submitted review. Anyway, this stuff probably is good - I'd give the aftershave balm a full five stars. I'd trust this is nice, too.
if this is the same formula as the previously labeled “after shave balm” (can no longer find), keep it coming. Refreshing, distinguished scent in nourishing weight, not sticky or heavy. Came to order the mentioned product, but will try this as a substitute. I have used the clear green stuff as a wonderful traditional aftershave, and this on my days off of that. A brand I’ve happened upon but will order again and again.
