This stuff is great. I didn't find that it had a weird smell, it smelled kinda minty to me. It made my skin so soft and smooth and hydrated. I have awful dry skin that can be super itchy especially in the winter months. I was a little worried when I opened the jar, the scrub is dry without any of the oil or liquid that I am used to seeing. However, with a little water applied to the skin first, this glides right of easily. The only advice I have, is don't freak out when it does not rinse away clean with just water. There is no indication on the packaging, but this will leave your skin streaked with black if you just use water. I just used a wash cloth and everything came away nicely with no staining on the skin. I would buy this again.
I love this scrub. I have been using it 2 to 3 times a week. I highly recommend this product. It leaves my face feeling wonderful. My pores has reduce. Any time I have a breakdown, I use this scrub and within a few days my breakouts are basically gone. I do have some pointers if you are thinking about buying it.
1. Now, if you have sensitive skin, I would not recommend, this is a heavy duty scrub so it might irritate sensitive skin.
2. This scrub is obviously messy...I mean...it's in a powder form thats in a jar sooo i feel like that should be implied, but it does not hinder the performance of this product. Just make use to clean up with a paper towel when your done.
3. The scrub penetrates deep into your pores so I would recommend using a liquid cleanser to get the residue out of the pores
4. The scrub again is heavy duty so you will be red for several minutes as you wash it off. Do expect to wake out the house 2mins aftwr washing your face. The redness goes away and your face will feel very clean
5. Do not forget to moisturize
6. Do use this scrub everyday...unless you enjoy have a raw feeling dress

I've been searching for a good face scrub for a long time, and too many of them either scratch my face up, burn, or don't feel like they're doing anything at all. Plus there's many that leave behind a heavy residue, or smell bad...the list goes on. Figured I would try yet another and see how it would turn out. Honestly the first time I used this I was NOT a huge fan. It's a little dry compared to other scrubs - most are kinda like wet sand, and there's lots of oil to provide cohesion. This stuff isn't drowning in oils, which made it a little messy. The first time I used it over the sink, which was a mistake that left little blackish/grey spots all over my sink and left me paranoid. Do yourself a favor and use this in the shower. Other than the mess, I found this to be a great product. It felt like it was actually exfoliating without leaving my skin raw (though this might be too much for sensitive skin), has a light, neutral clean smell, and left behind a very light layer of oil that kept my skin feeling soft, clean, and moisturized all day. Overall I was very happy with this product.
My skin started feeling great after the first use of this product, and it's really cleaned up my acne. I use it approximately once per day, and only in the shower (it's pretty messy!). The salt can dry my lips out if I'm not careful in applying it, but the rest of my face feels amazing after scrubbing with it.
The only con I'd say is the inconsistency. The first jar had a pleasant smell to it, and my skin felt smooth immediately after rinsing it off. The second jar I bought had an odd, sterile smell to it, and it seems to leave my skin feeling temporarily tacky (but the end results are the same, clean skin with no more acne).
I felt that there were pros and cons to this scrub. I will mention the cons first, as they were the things that I did notice immediately. First, it is a little messy to use. Unlike other scrubs, the contents are loose, so it is best to apply in the tub or shower where you can wash away anything that falls. Second, be prepared to have to wash your face with some kind of soap afterwards, as the charcoal does not wash away on its own.
The pro is definitely worth it, though, as I did notice immediately that my face felt much softer and smoother after using it, and it was not harsh at all!

I previously used Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash and took a total of 15,000 IU of Vitamin D a day (10,000 in the AM and 5,000 before bed; it actually made a big difference). Since trying this charcoal face wash, which I was certainly wary of, I’ve ditched both of the others and use this singularly. Once a day I use it on my face, my upper back, my shoulders, and my chest, and this stuff works wonders, even with me using it sparingly! I actually can’t believe it’s held up over the past week, but it’s done a fantastic job and I must recommend trying it! Definitely sticking with this for as long as I can.
I love how it made my skin soft after! The only issue I have was washing it off after. I didn't realize that it was going to take that much effort to wash it off. I washed it off with my regular face wash as I was showering and I thought I rubbed it enough that it came off. When I stepped out the shower, it was black on the outer part of my face and my neck. I had to wash my face again and use my face scrubber to get it off. I would not recommend doing this if you are press for time to leave the house. This scrub is good when you have time to just relax at home and not in a rush. I do Recommend purchasing this product to keep your face nice and clean and soft. I will definitely be doing this more often than not.
In the past, I would have not believed if anyone would have claimed products as this Charcoal Scrub would help clean out yours pores on your face and body but since giving this a try I can say this is absolutely true. I have been using this for around two weeks and I have to say the results are amazing. My sister who is a die-hard for maintaining a beautiful look body and skin is jealous of how clear and amazing my face, specifically my nose looks. Around my nose has a ton of black-heads that just refused to clear out but after a couple of days with this charcoal scrub my nose area looks clear and magnificent.
I am really liking the charcoal body scrub. It exfoliates my skin really well and leaves it feeling super soft! Also love that it only contains natural ingredients. I wasn't sure about charcoal benefits for the skin. I normally use the Indian bentonite clay, but I could really get used to using this!
Leaves skin super smooth! I use this a few times a week for my hands, feet, elbows, any rough patches - and it works wonders! It does take a little effort to remove, but it's worth it!
