There are only a few things I am looking for when I need something to tame my beard. Fortunately, this Viking Revolution beard balm accomplishes what I need it to do, without too many drawbacks. First off, its labeling states that it is in fact "100% All Natural Ingredients" which Beeswax, and a number of natural plant oils. It also has a nice, but not overpowering scent, owing to the Mango butter which is second in the list of ingredients. The balm melts easily into a uniform consistency, whereas some others more or less break down into globs. After application, this balm doesn't leave the hair looking glossy, or greasy, as long as you use an appropriate amount. It also doesn't feel like Vaseline on the hands. Even the packaging is great, the can is wide and shallow, making it easier to get out, rather than a narrower, taller container.

I've always been a beard oil kinda guy. My facial hair generally varies between stubble and about 1/2-inch so generally oil works without a problem with me. With that in mind, I've recently decided to let my beard grow a bit more. With that in mind I figured I'd try a few beard balms. With that in mind, on to my review.
The beard balm smells very similar to an orange sherbet. Very sweet in comparison to many other beard balms and oils I've smelled. It's almost girl-ish. Thankfully the scent isn't very strong or loud.
The hold is very nice. It's a very respectable medium hold. It holds the hair in place well, but still allows it to be easily moved and placed.
A small amount really goes a long way here, and oily residue left on the hands and face is very minimal when using adequate amounts.
In short, this balm does a great job. As I'm sure you've figured out, my only complaint is the smell. While orange is a citrus fruit, sherbet is pretty sweet. But I guess that's thanks to the mango butter.

But seriously - This stuff is a lot better.
It’s a lot more moisturizing and softening, yet manages to hold and shape a lot better at the same time. It also lasts longer on the hairs than the Honest Amish does.
As for the scent, it’s fresh. Clean. I suppose citrus as advertised. Definitely better than the H.A. which smells more like a musky wax.
As for preference - I don’t have a strong sense of smell at all so it never bothers me. I have gotten quite a few compliments on the scent.
Of the handful of Balms I’ve used, this one is my favorite by far. Extra points for the screw-on lid too.
I’ve been trying different Oils and Balms for my Beard but most smell like Cedar which is horrible, so after researching a bit I finally found a nice Oil and Balm with a pleasant Citrus Cent that is not overwhelming.
This Balm’s Citrus smell is actually kinda Reminiscent of a Orange Cream Soda, my Wife loves it.
I highly recommend using BOTH a Balm and Oil, the Oils are great for maintaining your Beard’s Growth and keeping it soft, but that Relaxes it making it kinda just do its own thing, so the Balm will will give some substance to let you Manage the shape when you brush it, so you don’t look like someone who’s been shipwrecked on a island for a year.
Also, Oils will only protect short periods especially in harsher climates like Hot or Windy environments, so the Balm will extend the time your beard looks great and feels great throughout the whole day.
This particular Balm not only smells Fabulous but it is made from some great natural quality ingredients like Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Mango Buttera and is a really good price compared to other similar 2oz. products and you will Save even more on Amazon if you put stuff like this your going to buy regularly anyways on Subscriptions!
Finally, my personal BEARD HACK is to drop a few drops of your Oil straight into the Balm tin, then just take the tip of your Beard Brush and swirl it in there. The Bristles will mix and pick up BOTH the Oil and Balm, then you can apply simply by Brushing through your Beard.
This works great because I believe it thoroughly applies it and works throughout your Beard and face, AND NO OILS TO WASH OFF YOUR HANDS!
I really like their beard oil, so when my last bottle of oil ran out after a month, I thought I'd try their beard balm. I've used it for 1 week so far and it works great! Works well for African-American hair (I bought this specifically because it includes JoJoba Oil)! Hair is softer and helps alleviate beard-bumps due to dry skin (I had stopped using the oil for 1 week and my beard was SUPER DRY! Now it's better than ever). If you have a really dry beard or dry skin, I'm sure you could apply it twice a day with nice results (that's what I would do with the oil sometimes) but I think the balm does a good job at retaining moisture overall and I haven't had a need to apply it more than just after my morning shower.
Easy to apply. Leaves no residue on hands. Citrus scent is pleasant and light (strong enough that you notice it when applied, but not a distracting or overpowering scent. A lighter smell than most aftershaves). I haven't tried other balms (oils yes) so I don't know how it compares, but this stuff works really well for me!

I have a fairly thick beard and needed something to tame unruly hairs. Purchased this because of the positive reviews and for the price. The smell is excellent and is very easy to apply. Would recommend it to anyone looking to condition both hair and skin. Great company as well.
I used it for a week now and I'm very pleased with it. My goatee has gotten a lot soften and not so wirey. The citrus scent is a great bonus. It washes out easily with no sticky residue. Definitely recommend this product.
I love this stuff. It goes on butter smooth, but doesn't feel greasy. I use it on my beard and my hands. I came across this after searching the local stores for about a year, and not really finding anything that smelled reasonable. The scent is crisp, but neutral. I've been thru a decent amount of beard products. Oils, cleaners, conditioners and balms. I've been rockin long face wiskers for a while. This balm tames and keeps my beard soft. Brush out the beard, rub in the balm and good to go all day. I sweat a lot, work outside get dirty etc. This balm protects my gorgeous man hairs from all of it. My favorite part is the subtle and not overpowering scent. Most other products suffocate me with some "manly" wood/leather/smoke combo thats in my nose all day. This balm has a SUBTLE citrus note that doesn't smother me for hours. Will be ordering more, highly recommended.
After years of my husband watching various Viking series over and over and over again I was most fortunate to locate this Viking Revolution Beard Balm! It seems he had been a trapped and terribly frustrated Viking all along. Once he rubbed the beard balm between his hands and ran it over his beard his true spirit was released. No more penny loafers and button downs, it’s now animal hides and rough hewn leather. Friends like Larry and Bob no longer stop by the house, it’s now only Uhtred, Ragnar, and Ecbert (not at once, mind you). Though this is not a path I would have sought, everything has changed for the better! Additionally, he smells fabulous and his beard is nice and soft.
