This oil is effective for taming the random parts of the beard that are going in some odd direction on any given day. It also seems to be making the beard less dry and bristly. You probably wouldn't need it on a trim beard, but those of us with manly beard start needing a little something at some point.
Like any oil, it can be annoying if you absent-mindedly stroke your beard and then touch your face with your hands. It does not irritate the eyes, so that is good, but you have to remember to go easy on the oil and pretty much keep your hands off your beard.
Modern Barbarian's beard balm is a better product for daily use in that it doesn't make your face and hands oily. The balm really does the job with no downside. This oil does a better job re: getting the beard ready to be combed into a presentable shape, but comes with the down side of being oily. I use the oil if I need to look presentable for something important, but I rub a little of the balm in every day.
Bought this for my husband (along with the beard balm) as a Christmas present, but had to give it to him early as I didn't want to listen to his complaining about his dry, scratchy beard anymore. He combs in the oil right after the shower and uses the balm in between to make his beard look a little less wild. Smells good - not too flowery or soapy, and not overpowering. I didn't realize when I bought it, but it's made with organic ingredients, which is a bonus. Hope to buy more when this runs out.
I needed beard oil that didn't smell like patchouli or perfume and actually showed the ingredients on Amazon's site. This one met both of those. It's the first beard oil I've ever purchased so I have no idea if it works like it's supposed to, but it's oil and I put it on my beard.

Size: When I see a product is 2 oz, that number seems a little small to me. You can imagine my surprise then, when I opened the package and found a bottle double the size of any other beard oil I have purchased. In my opinion, this is a great value with regards to the amount of oil you get per dollar spent!
Scent: Initially, I didn't think this product was scented at all, but my wife has since convinced me that it has a very light scent. To me, the importance of the scent depends on your preference. If you have some nice cologne you like to wear, then you probably don't want a strongly scented beard oil clashing with it, so this product would be great. If you are hoping for a beard oil that will double as cologne, than this won't help much there.
Strength: Since getting this, my beard seems like it has been between about an inch and a half and two inches long. I had been without beard oil for about a month before using this, and things were starting to get pretty scraggly and I had been tempted to trim it down multiple times so I looked presentable at work. After a couple of days using this along with a beard balm, loose hairs were tamed and I have been able to continue growing it out without being worried about looking too grisly for work.
Overall, I really have enjoyed using this beard oil and thought it got the job done. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something effective with little to no scent. Also, I received this beard oil at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Holy huge ass bottle........I really didn't expect what I received.by that,I mean a nicely packaged heavy bottle with a glass dropper, It was a great surprise. I reuse my old bottles for homemade blends. I have tried multiple beard oils out there.modern barbarian is in my top 2 overall.for value it is #1 all the way(my #1 brand cost twice as much).I still give it 5 stars because sometimes you don't want that overpowered scent right underneath your nose,this is the beard oil for you.the best part though is after you apply the oil to your beard it doesn't leave your hands oily.this is just my opinion
Smells great! Makes my beard very soft.
This product seems to be cheaper per ounce than many other oils. The scent is very mild, but seems to function as well as the others. If your are looking for a generic everyday maintenance oil, this is perfect
I will still get the expensive stuff for special times like church or a date with the wife.
This product is not Scented, as described in the title. nice sized bottle, goes in smoothly and dries quick. Good product and customer service.
With it contained argan oil with the jojoba, but it is still a good oil.
