Well first off when they say 1950's barbershop its no joke I live in a small town and only go to local barbershop for haircut and this product definitely smells like my barbershop sells like the great aftershave they use after lining me up up with a straight razor but the shampoo lathers up great and after using it makes my beard super soft will never use another beard shampoo this stuff is majic and smells great before this my beard was course hard and itchy after using beard feels super soft and great only dowmside is though shopping around on internet I found 3 pack for $30 so for Amazon's price you basically get 3 for the price of 2 so a extra free one is pretty good
Sometimes there are so many reviews saying the same thing you’re just not sure how it happens. This time, I know. I can tell you 100% truthfully that after the first use, my beard was as soft as anything you can think of that’s really soft to compare it to. Smell is mild but yes, like an old barber shop I went to when I was a kid. I used to blow dry mildly to get my beard straight but didn’t need to after using this. AWESOME STUFF!!!
Followed up with the bourbon scent oil (didn’t really smell like bourbon) for good measure and it put a great sheen on. It will be hard to get me to switch back to what I used before.
I bought this first and foremost to fight off beard flakes. My beard is just prone to it, and the advice of "use a dandruff shampoo" proved utterly useless for me. Tried them with and without conditioners. Never really helped much.
This...I've used it 2-3x a week for the last two weeks, and it is drastically improving the whole beard dandruff issue. It has a very mild scent that I would describe as, for lack of a better description, "pleasant". And a small bit goes a long way; I use half of the amount of this compared to normal shampoos and it lathers up well.
It also seems to leave my beard a little bit softer. We're not talking "changed from sandpaper to fluffy kittens" softer, but it went from being moderately scratchy to....not moderately scratchy. Maybe it will continue to soften with extended use; who knows.
This stuff is awesome. Just use a dime size amount or just a tad bigger maybe 3 times a week. It's a perfect amount for medium sized beards. Anyways oils and balms take you only so far and this will take your beard softness to a whole new level. My beard feels so clean and moisturized. Using regular shampoo will dry out your facial skin this definitely will not. I can't imagine not having a beard wash anymore.
Leaves my beard feeling clean, soft, and light with just a drop. The skin under my beard feels clean with no bearddruff or itching spots. It has a mild barely noticeable scent.

I got this as sort of a joke for a stocking stuffer for my husband at Christmas (the fun packaging alone makes it totally giftable). I sneaked a smell and it was awesome. His beard is a little scratchy, so I though this might make it softer. He balked at first, said it was silly and put it away for a bit. Well, after actually trying it, he now LOVES it! I just ordered my 2nd tube for him and he said the other day that he hopes this doesn't ever stop being on Amazon. His beard smells great and is nice and soft for kisses now :)
hands down the very best beard wash. I just got it today and used it...my beard thanks me. my beard is soft and clean (I use beard balm, oil and, mustache wax and i feel like this product cleans well without damaging my beard) and the smell is amazing! I highly highly recommend this product.
Look I don't review all that many products but I absolutely love this beard wash and I will keep purchasing it in the future!! It foams up nicely, leaves my beard soft and my face moisturized as well and it smells incredible! I would highly suggest this to anyone who has a beard and wants to take great care of it. Using this along with unscented beard oil leaves me with a soft beard that smells masculine but not too strong. Seriously this product is a winner in my book and the first beard shampoo I ever ordered and I see absolutely no reason to buy any other.
Washing my beard wrong for years and wanted to turn around my beards growth and health. I moved to this shampoo and it left my beard clean and smelling nice and for once it didn't dry like a bird's nest after my shower the shampoo actually left small amounts of oil and sheen to the beard after makes maintenance after so easy with a little more oils And a dab of balm and a brushing I am out the door.
I was looking to change up my beard wash not because my current one was bad, just wanted a change. I kept seeing this product (Grave Before Shave) pop up on my amazon home page along with other items I looked and figured why not give it a try. Well, I am very happy that I did. The wash smells amazing and leaves the beard feeling smooth, light, and scented. Tons of natural ingredients for those of you looking to stay away from other washes.
