While my husband likes this one, the scent is much stronger than the last scent we bought him from this company. He had some burning when his skin was dry. I still gave it 4 stars because he is still using it and it doesn't seem to bother him anymore.
The cinnamon overpowers the pine in my opinion, but I still enjoy the scent. I could see where some might be put off, though. Honestly, I wouldn't go for this particular one again, but it's a good oil and I would certainly be willing to give this company another shot.
This is my first foray into growing a beard (fun fun!). I ordered this oil around week 4 of said beard growth, based on the good reviews here. I wanted something to both thicken up & soften my beard so my wife & little one won't mind it so much. The smell of the "Spiced Timber" really is nice (one or two reviewers mentioned it's a nice scent for the holiday season - and that is true, but it would also be good for any time of year). My wife said she smelled a woodsy cinnamon scent the first time I tried it. I ordered a second scent of the same brand, "The Canoeist" - it's more on the woodsy-side (hence the name) and also a very nice scent. I think it's best to use this oil after showering or washing the face in warm water, and then towel drying the beard (since oil & water don't mix), this way the pores of the face are opened up and ready to soak in the beard oil. I think if you have really thick beards, using a beard comb to coax the oil in & down to the skin level is recommended. I use the Canoeist in the morning, and the Spiced Timber in the evenings. One probably doesn't need to use the beard oil that often, but maybe because it's a new experience I am enjoying it. Overall, I've noticed a softer beard, and it seems thicker as well, but since I've never had a beard, I'm not sure if it would grow at the same rate anyway. I never had a problem with my beard itching a lot, so I'm not able to comment on the oil's effectiveness towards that issue. Hope this helps, enjoy!
I like the smell of this oil. It has a strong cinnamon scent at first but then it fades away but I will still get a whiff of it from time to time. This oil is perfect for the holidays and it does make my beard very smooth when using.
Great scent for the fall season and a nice treatment for my beard.

I ordered this and another scent from this company and all I can say is wow. The customer service is where this company truly shines and that's saying a lot because their product is amazing. I was given the chance to test their Journeyman scent( which is blood orange and vanilla and 50 flavors of badass by the way) but when I tried to get the coupon to load it wouldn't work but after contacting them they threw the bottle in for free. I have since ordered 7 more bottles and have not been let down by a single product.
This scent is a bit like cookies at Christmas time the cinnamon is strong at first but it mellows nicely and while its not my favorite I wouldn't give it away that's for sure.

My favorite smell of all the beard oils I have from this company. Great scent for the holidays coming up. Does wonders for my beard. I apply at least 3 times a day and now my beard is soft and smells great
