I had been using Proraso white (sensitive formula) for a while and wanted to give the green a try. Great decision! First off the kits are a great value because Proraso includes full size items in all of them. This product feels wonderful on your skin. Even though my mug is sensitive, the green formula is very soothing. It contains eucalyptus and menthol so it is very intense but nothing over the top. The shave cream leathers extremely well. The preshave will wake you up in the morning and the balm is an excellent finish to a marvelous shaving experience. Absolute what I have come to expect from Proraso.
Just like others have said, my order arrived with some of the aftershave spilled out. The the carton for the aftershave was saturated. The reason for this is that Proraso doesn't use seals. That's scary to be honest, because someone could inject something harmful into the products & who would know till it was too late? Please start using safety/tamper seals. Nice & chilling effect though, & excellent preshave ointment. Lathers very well, but needs lots of water to not dry out quickly on face. Love that it has a balm style aftershave. Very nice product!
Quality product - great packaging, and less than if you buy these individually. I love these products and in a world of over-hyped men's products these stand out as classic and authentic. I love the pre-shave, after-shave, and the Crema sold here. If you are using shave cream from a can you are missing out on a better shave and a more quality experience.
This is a perfect set for a man who likes the finer things in life and does not need to use cost as a measure of quality.
This Proaso Vintage tin set is the ultimate shaver's kit anyone wanting to start out a new hobby as it comes with a pre-shave cream, really awesome, before shaving to apply for a mentholated tingling sensation. Then pre-soak the brush in warm water adding a nickel size dab of shaving cream and thoroughly whip up the cream to shave which will stretch your wallet in the long run. It's menthol scent isn't too strong but still has a lil' kick for a refreshing wash. The after-shave balm isn't too spicey for that final cool down irritation so you'll want to look forward to getting that next shave in!! ;)
Took a chance after finding a recommendation of this product on a shaving review site, then reading all the positive reviews here. When it arrived, I was immediately concerned with the strong, & I felt objectionable, aroma when the decorative tin was opened. I just didn't like it. Gave all products a try & was very pleasantly surprised. Each product worked really well & I really liked the scent, once applied. It's clean, fresh & light. I use the shaving cream with my Arc5 electric shaver & it works really well & rinses off easily. My favorite product is the After Shave Balm which I use everyday.

Love this stuff. I always get the best shaves with it. I've been using proraso pre-shave creme with my other shave soaps to great success. I saw this and just had to give their soap and aftershave a shot. I was not disappointed. For the soap, use very little and add a good bit of water and work into a froth. It's very easy to use too much. But I do love the smell and feel of it. The aftershave is great too. Doesn't burn and leaves my skin feeling great. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Nice tin and great products. The preshave and aftershave are really nice and help me get a smoother face with less irritation. I was already a fan of the shaving cream. Also I saved some money buying this set rather than purchasing the items individually. I like that the smell of the product is light and does not linger. Also it was nice that it felt cooling and moisturizing without that burning menthol or oily feel similar products have. I really enjoyed this and would reccomend it for new and existing Proraso users!
The tin looks great, but the real beauty is in the products contained within. I was skeptical when I seen the pre-shave cream, but after I've used it I am pleased with the results. My skin feels great after every shave. The shaving cream works great too. I've not had any nicks or cuts and my razor glides smoothly with every stroke. The post shave balm also feels great and smells good too.
I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. I used to use Harry's shaving gel. I still love Harry's razors, but this takes my shave to a whole new level of smoothness. My wife loves touching my smooth face now. I got a shaving brush and bowl to go with it and they also add to the experience and the end result. I use the tin to store my old shaving gear and soaps.
Awesome purchase, I had to look at the reviews that gave it less than 5 stars to see what I was missing. I was actually surprised by how nice the tin was, which someone docked it a star for. I would definitely consider this set next time I need to get someone a gift. Some people thought the smell was a little medical which I can see, but I like the smell. I find it very refreshing.
