In modern terms I self identify as "Halfrican" my skin tone is white but my dad is black. So I have his hair and the problems black men have with shaving.
I tried everything and decided to go to a safety razor/wet shave routine every other day.
I still get a few bumps and ingrown hairs but not as bad as with other methods.
I can't remember what razor I have but these blades work very well. I honestly don't know why the shaving industry went away from this method of shaving. These blades a re so much cheaper than a cartridge and it's not as hard on your skin.
One thing I'll add is I only use the blades twice maybe three times before changing them. Life's too short to shave with a dull blade and these are cheap enough it's not a big deal. I think this also reduces burn.
Like many wet shavers, I started my journey into double edge (safety) razors by purchasing a sample pack of blades on Amazon.
I've found that these blades are very good quality for the price. Are there sharper blades out there? Yes. Will the sharper blades cost you more money? You bet.
I found that these are quite sharp and very smooth shavers. I typically get four (4) three pass shaves with each blade. Additionally, I have never gotten a bad "dud" blade in one of these packs.
If you're tired of paying for cartridge razors and are looking for a better shave, seriously consider trying a double edge razor and sample pack of bladesblades. I'm confident you'll find these to be among your favorites.
My beard is tough and it just tears through the new-fangled Gillette Mach3/5 razors. If I manage to get more than two comfortable shaves out of one of those cartridges it's a miracle. Unfortunately, changing the cartridge every other shave is crazy expensive. That's why I made the switch to shaving with an old double edge safety razor several years ago. Paired with these Gillette Silver Blue blades (my favorite), I get a shave better than what I got with the expensive Mach series cartridges, but at much lower cost ($0.18/blade instead of ~ $2 per cartridge). I can get a year's worth of shaves out of a 100 pack of these Silver Blues for the same price as a month of shaving with Mach 3 cartridges.
Over the years I've tried a bunch of different DE blades including blades from Personna, Derby, Feather, Crystal, Merkur, and many of the Gillette offerings. For my face, these Silver Blues walk the right balance between sharpness and smoothness. They cut through my tough beard and leave me smooth without any burn and I don't have to be super careful to avoid cuts as I do with Feathers. Just a great blade all around. These will continue to be my blade of choice for the foreseeable future.
Any review of razor blades should be taken with a grain of salt. All faces are different and different blades seem to love different razors. YOUR MILAGE MAY VARY... That said- These blades are my current favorite. They are wonderful in all my razors, new and vintage and seem to really shine in my Edwin Jagger DE-89. Extraordinarily sharp. They feel Feather sharp but easier to use and friendlier to the face. I use them as i would a feather (in a tech or adjustable set 2-4) and have less issues all around. Also, and this could flat out be my imagination, but they seem to last forever. I get 4 shaves at most from a red personna.. Kais and Feathers from 4-6 shaves a blade, but I can get 8 shaves from these blades and I've gone as high as 12..
Great quality blade especially for the price. This blade does great with my sensitive skin. It is sharp and smooth. It's packaged well and does has the resin/glue on the blade and wrapper which tends to stick to the blade mount of the SR once its tightened up. It is easy to clean off though. I use Feather and Personna every now and then but this is my go to blade and must be in my den at all times. I get about 3 shaves with this blade but I have heard of people getting 5-6. It all depends on your how thick your beard growth is. All in all I think it's a great blade. It's my number 1 but may be your number 10. Just depends on how it's used and how your face reacts to it. I don't think you will regret getting this product especially for the price.

Description
These blades are produced in St. Petersburg, Russia and they provide a smooth and comfortable shave. Gillette blades are noted for high quality and smooth and comfortable shaves. These blades last for a long time, very sharp, and provide a very smooth shave! These are considered to be the top quality blade in many parts of the world where double edge safety razors are commonly used.
I have been traditional wet-shaving for since 2011 and have tried a lot of different blades. For a while, my goto blade was the Feather. The Feathers were hands down, the sharpest blade that I ever used, and produced BBS. The problem is that for me the blades were quite harsh so that the shave was close, but not particularly comfortable. I had tried the GSB's in the past and decided to try them again (after all, my technique had improved greatly). I was blown away: the GSB produced the same close shave as the Feather, but was much smoother. If you desire a sharp blade that is also smooth, give these a shot. I have a feeling that you won't be disappointed.
This is the best DE blade I've tried. The blades are sharp but not too aggressive. Stays sharp for at least 3 or 4 shaves. That's about 20 shaves per 5 pack so I should get about 300-400 shaves out of the 100 pack. If you shave every day that's a year of quality shaves for about $20. $1 Shave Club can't beat that! I use this with a 3 piece safety razor as I find the butterfly razors don't hold the blade in place as well. It's hard to find a blade that is sharp and shaves good with no nicks but this is it. I recommend using a pre-shave oil with these or any DE to get the best shave.
After a run of bad blades made in the third world, I decided to upgrade and these blades came highly recommended. They work well in mild or aggressive razors on my coarse beard. No blades really last that long because of the coarseness--I average about 4 shaves per blade regardless of manufacturer, and the 4th isn't that comfortable. I would have happily continued using these blades if not for Proctor and Gamble/Gillette's misandrist ad campaigns. If they want to alienate their primary user base, so be it--I've found an ever better blade and will just run out my supply of Silver Blues.
Same quality as sample pack... Best for me. I'm pretty new to DE shaving. I bought a couple of sample packs to test. I think these are they best all around for me. I have a fairly light beard, I only shave about 2-3 times per week because I work in a casual environment. I use theses with a Parker 22R which I think is fairly medium aggressive. Definitely not as sharp as Feathers, but that is a good thing in my book. Still plenty sharp, but safer and smoother. Seemed sharper and smoother to me than Astra SS or 7 O'clock SS without being deadly like Feather.
I have tried several brands of blades and I am sold on this one for my razor but as everyone knows, different blades react differently depending on the razor. For me these blades last a week shaving every morning, one pass. I install a new blade Sunday and it will last all week but as Saturday is a lazy day, I don't shave Saturday, so I get 6 shaves but could get 7 if I wanted. I just change on Sunday as a habit.
