This pre-shave oil is great. But we warned: this stuff does not smell great. Not sure what some other reviewers mean when they say it smells great, this stuff smells like paste wax to me. However, the scent dissipates quickly and does not stick around. I have very sensitive skin, but with this oil I can shave against the grain (gasp!) no problem and get really close. This allows me to shave every other day.
My only gripe is with the label on the bottle (believe it or not). Naturally, a product like this will be used in the bathroom and it will occasionally come into contact with water. The label on my bottle was paper and it started flaking off and breaking down. Thank heaven I bought it on Amazon so I could remember what it was called to purchase again (which I just did).
DUDES: Stop using that multi-blade plastic, over-priced, p.o.s. in your cabinet. Shave against the grain using this oil, a sharp single blade razor, and a good shave soap/cream. The rough stubble look is and has been out (trust me, you ain't Clint Eastwood), and when I see that on any man I think 'unkempt & lazy.' If you have a beard, trim it and groom it properly and use this oil and a safety/shavette/straight razor to shape your beard correctly.
I've used this for seven months. Bottle is half empty. I can tell a difference in the quality of my shaves and the protection it provides from the razor. It is one of five different pre-shave oils that I use and it is the best of the lot. It does have a strong tea tree scent to it, but it dissipates after you apply the lather. The oil does not leave a lasting film on your skin, and it does not gunk up you razor or your brush. I recommend it for the pump applicator, performance, and price.
If there is one thing I would change would be the label on the bottle. It is not water proof. I would recommend soaking it off when you get the bottle. Otherwise if it gets wet, it will start peeling off and make a mess of things.
For me, it is a very good product and one that I will purchase again. As always, YMMV.

The winter dryness of my skin was quickly resolved with this oil. The skin on my forehead would dry and flake and was very noticeable. While preparing for my shave one morning I applied this shave oil to my whole face to see if it would take care of the problem. After one use the flakes did not appear. I have been doing this ever since. Great stuff for skin dryness as well as softening the beard for shaving. This oil is the best I have ever used!

Let me start off by saying, this pre-shave oil exquisite and meticulously crafted. I'm a stickler for quality, especially when comes to my quality of life. That being said, I always shoot for all natural and organic products.
This product really delivers, in that it's made with a plethora of all-natural ingredients which is conducive to my shaving routine, and, it facilitates my acquiring a great shave. Also, my shaving experience is enhanced when combining this product and equally all-natural shaving soap. Pardon me if I'm preaching to the choir, with all due respect for those of you who are veterans in the wet shaving department. After doing my homework, I've decided to take the leap into the wet shaving arena.
And, I must say that I am enjoying my journey; albeit, it's yet in it's infancy.
I have used an electric razor for 30+ years, but since I recently moved to a much more humid climate, I am going to have to start shaving with a blade (my electric razor is wet/dry, but I have never gotten satisfactory results using it wet). While shopping for shaving cream, I ran across this pre shave oil, which looked interesting. It does seem to work, because I haven't been getting any razor burn, which I have been told is normal since I've never used a blade before. The only thing I would change is to offer a larger size as well as this size because the bottle is a bit small, but I guess I'm not supposed to need that much when shaving. Otherwise, I like the product! It smells nice, too, which is a plus.
I came across this product Pre-Shave oil just by chance when I was looking for a solution to shaving on my sensitive skin on my face. There are quite a few products found while searching on Google and Amazon. I found this small bottle from Well Groomed Guy, on Amazon.com menu of pre-shaving oils. Reading its reviews and the ingredients on the bottle, I decided to give it a try. My decision was not wrong. I found it to be very effective and soothing. The regular shaving became easier with clean shave. After a few months, I purchased another bottle.
I am satisfied and happy to find and use this Pre-shave oil. It has very good ingredients and has a light scented odor.

I am deployed in Afghanistan. I am new to the use of safety razors and shaving soaps. I have dry skin and being in a dry environment it is hard to find a good product that won't dry out my skin. I use the pre shave oil with the Shaving Guy soap after I get out of the shower. It has a nice smell and doesn't make my skin oily. After using these for a few weeks, my skin isn't as dry anymore. I am in the military and need to ahve a daily clsoe shave. I use it for a pre-shave and couldn't be happier. I often build lather on my face and found that this oil will stand up to working a thick lather, something many other oils have left me wanting. Highly recommended.
I've used other shave oils but none have really satisfied me as much as this one. It's got a slight scent but the best part is how it coats me before shaving. When I don't use it there is a marked difference in how my razor drags. So overall, this product matches up to oils that I have spent considerably more for.
It is part of my morning ritual and in my Amazon subscription.
I didn't notice a big difference between using this and when I don't. Small bottle, high priced - not worth the money.
The 2nd day I got much better results. Maybe I spent a little more time working the oil into my skin, maybe I took a bit more time shaving, either way the pre shave gave me a closer shave than shaving without it. I upped the stars from 2 to 4, I would have made it 5 but the stuff smells terrible.
Definitely works for both pre and post shave. I especially like to use it after shaving, as I find it restores the skins faster than any other product I've tried. I like the subtle smell as well. Can't recommend it enough.
