I find the lime scent to be pretty subtle while shaving, but I enjoy that about it. The leather is incredibly easy to build and it's got a nice creamy consistency. The shave was very smooth and it took barely any effort to build the lather with my boar hair brush. I melted it into my ceramic shave bowl in the microwave for about 15 seconds total. I have many different soaps but this one will most likely be my semi-daily user. I will definitely try another Taconic soap once I use this one up.
I have wet shaved with a safety razor for years and have tried a number if shaving soaps, some cheap some expensive. This product lathers up well and the fragrance is just right. The shave has been very good.Good purchase.
I received the product yesterday, on time, no delays, and used it this morning. I must say that I was delighted with the results that I got from the Lime soap. I compared it with Poraso green tea and oatmeal, which no one will deny is a superb soap. My immediate reaction was that Taconic lathered as nicely as the Poraso. I use a Semogue 1305 boar bristle brush and quickly produced a creamy lather with a great lime scent and a gentle tingle. Once I started shaving, though, Taconic impressed me with a smooth glide and lasting slickness. It simply didn't dry out as quickly permitting multiple passes with my Merkur 34C without re-lathering. Taconic has gotten the ingredient content just right, because one hour after my shave, my skin felt smooth, soft and well conditioned. Amazing soap and now at the top of my list. My compliments on an excellent product.
Very nice soap for the price! I don't think lime is my scent, so I might try another scent. I do prefer lighter scents, and this soap was pretty strong. I had a lot of trouble building a good face lather; building the lather in a shaving mug worked much, much better, so I'd recommend doing your lather that way.

I use this with my safety razor and love it.
Lathers up really well with shave brush, better than any can of foam......really smooth, close shave.....had to re-apply soap to first side of face, it had dry out a little bit....lime fragrance is really subtle, maybe too subtle!

Excellent product. This soap has a pleasing lime scent, lathers well and provides a nice slick base for shaving.
Provides good lather. Smells lovely. I'm about 1/2- 2/3 through my first puck. Great price for a quality product.
I would use this over the high priced art of shaving cream I used to use, and over TOBS cream I used after that. However this is my first shave soap, so I cannot comment comparatively to other soaps.
