I don't write reviews often but I'm making an exception for this product. It is one of the few products on the market that really does what it says. Within a week of using it my beard was noticeably softer and it looked much healthier. The pine and cedarwood smell is, in my opinion, very well balanced and not too strong. Don't get me wrong, the smell is powerful (but not overwhelming), it'll make you feel like a lumberjack emerging triumphantly from a cluster of northern white pines after a logging expedition, and the people around you will insist your vocation involves woodcutting of some kind after getting a whiff. I really like this product and cannot recommend it highly enough, in fact I just ordered another bottle in the "Classic Man" scent which I expect will be just as satisfactory. In summation, if you like the woods, america, screeching bald eagles, freedom, and your beard, this is the product for you.
This works really well for me. My beard isn't terribly long (though longer than most beards I see), and I find 6-7 drops works best. My beard is softer but not oily, and much easier to manage. I love the smell but my wife isn't too wild about it. I think it dissipates, but she claims she can smell it hours after if she comes in close. Not really an issue, though.
If you have a thick or somewhat unruly beard, definitely give this a try. My favorite thing is that the effect of the oil lasts all day, and even into the next day. It's truly a conditioner, not a styling product.
Point Blank: It works. More importantly I love it. I've had a beard for 20 years. I live in the sticks and I work around horses and in the woods daily when not at my regular job. I hate most the products on the market because they want me to smell like a fruit salad or some other chemical nonsense that I can't identify and usually just smells like soap. This...this is not only useful..the smell is almost therapeutic. You smell like an adult, not a food by product. My beard is more manageable, softer, and less wiry. If you have doubts, you need to try it.
Pros:
- Smells great! I love the woods and woodsy smells, and this has that. Smells similar to Escape Cedarwood Scent - #1 RATED Leven Rose Beard Oil and Leave-in Conditioner - Best Scented Beard Oil 100% Pure Organic Natural for Groomed Beard Growth, Mustache, Skin for Men - 1 Oz - Jojoba, Rosehip & Argan Oil, yet distinct from it. Must be the Pine.
- You may attract women (or men!) who are like-minded and enjoy woodsy smells. Go, you!
- Helps keep your beard soft, and looking good.
Cons:
- Smell subsides quickly. You're not going to be smelling like the woods (or anything at all, most likely) in a few hours. But I think this is standard for all beard oils.
- Don't overdo it. If you have a habit of touching your facial hair, and you use too much beard oil, you may end the day with a greasy face. Again, this is not a criticism of the product itself.
Overall:
I'm not completely convinced of the link between beard oil and beard softness. For example, I've gone without beard oil for days, and have been noticeably softer some days than others. Still, I love the smell and feel overall, and I will continue to use beard oil in the future!
A very light, masculine beard oil in a TSA-approved bottle.
The "woods" name is accurate -- it smells like a fresh-cut pine tree. The smell is very strong when applying, but evens out once it's on your beard. You'll just smell like you went for a hike on a perfect mountain day and hugged a few sappy pines.
It's a very light oil, so it won't tame a wild man beard (who'd want that anyway?) but it will keep things slightly more chill. If you want to style your beard you'll need something heavier.
You'll put this on and feel like a lumberjack. The kind of lumberjack that carries an axe, wears flannel and doesn't give a care about what people think of his beard.

I purchased this beard oil for my husband, the beard enthusiast. He has very coarse beard hair and he had been using coconut oil to soften it. I don't think he will be going back to that. Application is easy. I had seen some that had droppers but i prefer this method of just putting some on your hand. The scent is nice but doesn't last. I'm fairly certain that is how all beard oils are but it would be nice if the scent stuck. My husband applies daily and his beard is noticeably softer. He also has dry skin and this seems to really moisterize his face as well. I'd definitely recommend for any bearded man.
Very good product. Comes in the same standard sized bottle most beard oils come in. It's definitely cedar-scented. Not woodsy, not outdoorsy, but cedar. Ever have a pet guinea pig or rabbit? Did you have a big bag of cedar shavings that you used for litter? Imagine opening that bag and pouring the cedar shavings out into the cage. That's what it smells like. Some people like cedar. This is all cedar.
This stuff is glorious. Theres no other word for it. It conditions and tames the beard wonderfully, and the scent leaves you feeling like Paul freaking Bunyan. My fiancee loves it too. I put some on when she came over this morning. Actual quote from her: "It makes me want to jump your bone!"
Honestly, with that kind of reveiw, what more do you need? Buy this stuff now, and prepare to have your Redwood jumped.
Overall, I was very impressed by this product and will be buying it again. The pine scent is a bit over powering when using it for the first time, but only lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour (similar to aftershave). After about one week of use, I had gotten use to the smell and actually embraced it as a part of my morning routine. Compared to other oils I have used, this one conditions and tames wild hairs better than other brands. I only need 3-4 drops with this oil rather than the 6-8 drops needed for other brands. After about one week of use, any dry skin had cleared up and hasn't returned. My beard looks fuller, feels softer and has a groomed appearance throughout the day. Would recommend for the company to include cards and stickers with shipment, so they can be used to promote this awesome product.
love this beard oil it smells really good, they got a nice mixture of the scent of cedar shavings and a pine forest. really good if you like a manly scent so pretty boys you might not like it.... not only did it smell good but added that nice shine to my beard it was noticed by the guys at work immediately who asked how i got my beard to look so nice deffinitley gonna order some more when this runs out but it has lasted me a few months already and probably will make it a few more if i could change one thing i would make the scent last a little longer as it wears off pretty quick
