This is a nice beard treatment. It smell wonderful and somewhat softens the hair. Really helps with itchy skin that sometimes devvelops in real dry conditions. The smell will last all day. Application takes a bit of work as this is a paste that needs to be emulsified (basically rub it in the fingers until it liquifies). Make sure you read the directions as they are hilarious. Some one woth a great sense of humor wrote them. Being a vegan product, after using this for only a week I have the urge to tell everyone I see that my beard is vegan and to condemn the use of animal products on beards as I wear my leather shoes and jacket. Sorry for that part as Im grilling steak right now and the smoke is clouding my judgement. This is a real nice product that works very well and doesnt take itself too seriously.
I'm a new beard owner and so I've been trying all sorts of beard products. This beard balm seems to help my beard look more kempt and styled and less wild. That's a big problem for me, so I appreciate any help I can get. As other reviewers have stated, it does come out of the container a bit grainy and so you do have to work it between your fingers a bit before applying, but I have had no problems with it leaving anything visible in my beard. Also, the scent--I like it. It smells like a lavender soap we had once and while that may seem a bit feminine, I think it works well.
I'm glad I found this stuff.
I'm not sure how this product preforms with larger beards as mine is short to medium length, but as far as I can tell, it works about as well as the average beard products you find in a salon or barber shop.
That being said, the smell is what really impressed me. Opening the lid and taking a whiff does not do it justice. The aroma is truly released after rubbing it in your hands and spreading it into your beard. It's a masculine fragrance, but it doesn't overwhelm. I will definitely be using this, and possibly as a replacement to my daily cologne or body spray.
I have only had a few Beard Balms and have always thought that they were way to hard to use because they are just so waxy. This Balm however is in my opinion, is more between a Balm and a Butter. Personally I like the consistency of this Tree Hugger Vegan Beard Balm much better than your average Balm. It applies much easier and the hold is perfect for my beard. The scent is nice and refreshing, however I would like it to be a bit stronger which is the only reason for 4 stars.
I like this beard balm, but I don't use it for a beard. It's really good at keeping my short hair where I want it. It works great as a styling balm besides a beard balm. My husband has used it on his beard and he likes it but he sometimes leaves little flecks of it in his beard. I know that it must be completely melted before applying to hair. It smell great - not too strong and is VERY moisturizing. I've even used this on my face and really relieves dry skin!

Good product!
This is awesome stuff! It smells very good and makes my beard SUPER soft and keeps it in place well. It's easy to use and a little bit goes a long way. It makes my beard much easier to brush out and so much smoother. It keeps all the stray hairs from popping out all over and it keeps me looking smooth and smelling fresh. Overall, I LOVE IT and use it daily!
This is a manly smelling beard balm that works pretty well to moisturize beard hair. My husband felt this worked pretty well but was not quite on par with other products he has used. We are not vegan but it is nice to know this product has been fortified with natural ingredients. This product is easy to use but the texture is not as smooth as my husband would like.
After a couple of weeks of use, I can say that my beard feels softer and sleeker. The product feels good going on, and the smell is subtle but great. Since I'm not vegan, I'm tempted to try their regular beard calm to compare. At the very least, the product has helped me realize that facial hair needs a little TLC too.
I use this to soften my beard and while I keep my beard trimmed fairly short, I also tried this before I trimmed it and noted that the balm is exactly that. It is thick like a paste wax and can be difficult to evenly distribute in your beard. Get it all over your hands before going in or you'll have clumps..
Overall - works better than the others I have..
