I ordered this for me, but this brush is HUGE! OMG it is perfect for men, boys with thick hair. LOL To give you an example of the size diff between brush and my head; when I lay the brush on the top of my scalp, there is empty space on both outside edges of the brush. My 13 year old son (with gorgeous thick hair) loves this brush because his hair doesn't get tangled and he said it feels good on his scalp. So there you go, thick hair and probably more of a brush for men or teen boys (possible females with thick, long hair could use this brush)... I took away 1 star because I still don't have a brush I can use ;)
This is an awesome hair brush! I have very very very THICK hair and it takes forever to dry! Like over 30 minutes. Because this is vented, it helps dry thick hair much quicker. It also has both plastic and boar bristles, so when you are holding sections of your hair up with the brush to blow dry, the hair stays on the brush very well so it's not constantly slipping through the bristles. I would recommend for both thick or thin hair if you want a quicker blow dry. Short or long it probably works really well (mine is long).
It doesn't give much lift or volume, though, at least not for me. So if you are almost done drying your hair, you could switch to a round brush towards the end for more volume. Or use a root spray for lift. I'm just happy with the reduced drying time.

I put the 3 conbination oils ( castor oil, almond oil, olive oil- virgin-warm) in my hair at night 3 times a week and in the morning I brush my hair, the oils go through all my hair and after I shower my hair feel soft and it's very shiny. Also, my daughter has very long hair and it tangles a lot. Decided to buy one for her and it does wonders in her hair. For my sun he has a little curly hair when he uses it , makes his hair super manageable . I recommend washing soap with soap and warm water, to remove oils and to keep it clean, it's good for your hair... Hair brush is very light in weight which works very good for me because my hands hurt a little.
This brush was a game-changer for me! I have VERY long, thick hair and the bristles help move my natural oils down the hair. Not only does that keep my hair from looking greasy too early, but it helps keep each strand of hair healthy and moisturized from root to end.
I have to clean it out basically every use and I also can't detangle quickly with it but that's ok. I just split my hair into 4 sections and brush through (detangling the ends and working UP).
Looked at this brush and thought "my goodness this is one ugly brush". Read the reviews and decided to buy it for my granddaughter. I got this originally for my 10 year old granddaughter who has thick wavy hair that is always tangled. This worked great for her. Her mother ask if I could get another one for her and I tried it and loved it too. I have short thin hair that doesn't tangle but I love the feel of the brush on my scalp. So I have purchased 3 brushes and we all love it.
This brush is a great find! I am mixed and have naturally curly hair ( 3a/3b hair for those that know about curl types). I have used this brush on wet curly hair and to blow dry my hair straight. For me, works well in both situations. Feels good to brush my hair with this brush. I've had this brush for about 2 months and haven't had the experience of losing bristles, as other reviewers mentioned. There have been a few of the boar bristles that have fallen, but not enough to lead me to be concerned. It's pretty typical with boar brushes. I have also used this brush on my daughter's hair, which is more curly and coarse than mine, and it works well also. Definitely recommended!
I love this hairbrush! I have very long, very thick and coarse hair. I needed a new brush, as I broke the handle off my last one pulling it through my hair. This brush tames and shines my hair, invigorates my scalp, and flows easily through my dense, heavy mane. I have tried other boar's bristle brushes, but they were too soft to penetrate my hair. This brush has round-tipped plastic at the center of each tuft of boar's bristle, so the brush can power through the hair, and the bristles can distribute hair oils down to the ends of each strand.
I thought the shape of this brush was crazy and I had to try it, so I ordered it! Came fast, and as I started to dry my hair I felt right away that this brush is exactly the shape to brush my hair! I have purchased every detangling brush and comb from Sally's, walmart, and target for my 3 year old daughter and finally realized I should have checked Amazon first. I ordered this brush after reading all the reviews on several of the top detangling brushes on Amazon.
My daughters hair is type 3b and it is all the way down to her bottom when wet, it has been a nightmare to detangle at times. When she showers we usually detangle in the shower with lots of conditioner or we usually braid her hair before bed every night but on occasion we forget and it is an absolute rats nest in the morning. The day I received this brush was one such morning, I tried it and within 5 strokes on the right side it was already mostly detangled and then I just kept brushing it and the boar bristles shined the hair right up.
I couldn't wait to show my wife and she just gave our daughter a shower, she used the brush on her hair while it was wet and it worked well wet too. My wife asked me how expensive this brush was and she immediately guessed $30 and she laughed when I told her it was half that because she really likes it. My daughters hair can have a chance to grow even longer now because it won't be getting broken when we brush it. Thanks for this amazing brush!
