Before even receiving this product, Beau from Viking Revolution reaches out to me, thanking me for my purchase. He then went on to explain why Viking Revolution came about and assured me that if I was unsatisfied with the product that it’s 100% guarantee would refund me my money. Overall first impressions: great. It’s nice to see a company stand behind heir product and have the costumer in mind.
The Unveiling and Product First Impressions:
I opened the shipping packaging to find a nicely designed box that didn’t look homemade but definitely didn’t feel like you were getting a generic product either. Opening the box, I was met with the smell of wood and manliness which was nice and, well...manly. Made me eager to get the brushes out.
Inside with the brush/comb was a little pouch to store them in. I had missed this on the listing so I was pleasantly surprised. (Just a note: I went back and it clearly shows that the bag is included, I was just not observant that day or something).
Looking at the pouch, it feels sturdy enough. The drawstring is loose and doesn’t hold the bag closed. It could use one of those tiny button retainers but that’s ok, it’s not necessary. It goes in my laptop bag so I don’t fear anything falling out and getting lost. The company logo is printed across the face of the bag and looks great! Mine however was printed upside-down. At this point I hadn’t taken the brushes out yet so my confidence in the product dropped slightly. But I pushed through as it’s an honest and trivial mistake. This could and does happen in EVERY kind of manufacturing but this is also what quality control is for. I prayed this didn’t reflect the actual product quality.
The Tools:
The Comb - The comb is a nice piece. Smooth and comfortable. Way better than your average plastic pick or comb. “Lightweight” is right! Which is nice, but I wouldn’t put it in my back pocket for daily use. It might loose the thin teeth or break in half.
The Brush - The brush is by far my favorite part of the kit. I use it all the time now. The boar bristles are firm but not super stiff like those plastic bristled brushes you’d get at a dollar store.
Each piece has a smooth finish which makes them comfortable to hold but it’s not so smooth that you feel like you’re constantly going to drop them.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great product that’s backed up by superior customer support. You can tell that a lot of hard work went into the design of these products. My experience would’ve been better if the misprint on the bag was caught but again, this isn’t reflected in the actual product. But seriously, that’s all it would take to raise the score of this product from very good to great. Attention to every detail. Plus the price point was on point. Going to any big box store, you would pay as much for just the comb as you did this kit. This shows me that Viking Revolution believes in their product and wants many to experience and enjoy it as well.

Wild Beard Tamer Review
So I was a bit skeptical about this boar bristle beard brush when I ordered it, and even still once it arrived. I’ve had my beard for over 8 years and left it largely uncaged. I’d trim it once or twice a month to keep it somewhat tamed, but that was it. One day, I was working outside doing what I do most days; digging out a new moat for around the house, when I came inside for a refreshing swig of Cletus’ famous homemade sarsaparilla, which is really just some whiskey in a convenience store big-gulp cup with some ice and sawdust that inevitably falls in from my beard. Right after I took my first sip and lowered the giant cup from my mouth I looked and there stood before me was the Mrs. just waiting to tell me what’s what. As I sucked the whiskey from the sawdusted whiskers of my upper lip, my wife says to me ‘Cletus, that beard of yours is looking crazier than a bobcat pissin on an electric fence!’ You see, one night a few weeks ago, when I was out burying silver to hide from the government, I heard an awful screeching noise that would’ve put a banshee to shame! Some bobcat was sniffing too close to the electric fence that lines our property and decided to relieve himself on it. WOOOHOOO he got the shock of a lifetime lemme tell ya! I saw the wildcat fly outta there faster than a democrat jumps on a bandwagon!
Anyway, my darling wife was commenting that my beard had been getting a little out of control and I need to put a saddle on that stallion and calm it down! So, after clearing out some more trench for the moat, I decided to look on the internets here for something to help tame the wild whiskers on my face. I know what y’all are thinking now, why am I diggin’ a moat for? Well I’ll tell ya, it’s not only to protect the homestead from the likes of solicitors, census takers, political campaign workers, crooks, and vagrants, but it’s also a nice lazy river on hot summer days! Also, once I stock it with some trout, it’ll be a mighty fine fishin’ hole! Who needs to go on a fancy vacation when you can just go fishin’ in your own lazy river!!
Anyway, back to the wild beard tamer, I found this beauty of a brush on the amazon site and decided to give it a try. I got the boar bristle brush, the wood comb, and the nice little travel bag all for under $10 bucks, now that’s a better deal than the two-for-one shrimp night at church bingo! The quality is real nice and the real boar bristles feel pretty darn good on my face, but best of all the brush tamed that wildcat on my face right away! After a few strokes, my beard went from crazed appalachian mountain man, to a refined Jeremiah Johnson on a Sunday. My wife took one look at me and let’s just say, the Mrs. was very fond of the results as well… I’d definitely recommend this Viking Revolution Beard Comb and Beard Brush set, it’d make an excellent gift as well!!
This beard brush and comb set comes in a nice box and the travel bag is a very nice touch. I recently went on vacation and the travel bag came in handy. The wooden comb is very nice and very durable. It is perfect for my beard length which is very long. The design makes it very easy for the teeth to get through the hairs very easily. Unlike some other wooden combs that are angled in such a way that makes it difficult to get a comb through shorter beards. The brush is very nice as well. I really like the bristles on the beard brush. Not too hard and not too soft. It really lays my beard down very nicely. I wish the beard brush had grooves in it to allow you grip it better in your hands. That's the only reason why I gave this product a 4 out of 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I will be ordering a second set to keep in my desk at work. The price makes it very affordable for me to own 2 sets.
Finally decided to grow out the beard and was picking up accessories. Came across this product from the good people from Viking Revolution. Product arrived and works great. The brush has tight and sturdy bristles. The comb is sleek and useful. I'm giving five stars because of the email I received afterwards the purchase. I told them the comb had a couple broken teeth but still didn't affect the usage of it. They just told me, 100% guarantee. Received a new comb a few days later. Great product. Great price. Great people. Already recommended to several people.
I am so beyond in love with my Beard Brush and Beard Comb. You'd think something as simple and small as a brush and comb wouldn't make such an impact, but these have changed how I handle my beard. I am now using beard oil and beard balm, and sometimes I brush my beard with my brush just because it feels good on my face and neck. And for $10, it is hard to beat the price and quality of material you are getting.

Being new to beard growing it was important for me to find a quality comb and brush that wouldn't break the bank. This kit fits the bill. At first I was surprised at how small the comb and brush were but with time I came to appreciate its size. The brush fits nicely in my hand and the comb is small enough I can stick it in my pocket and go. The comb also has wide teeth on one side which makes it easy to get any snags or snarls out and narrow teeth on the other for training my growing mustache. The brush is great for training my beard hair to go where I want it to. The only complaint I have, which isn't really a complaint, is that the hair in the brush tends to fall out. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone growing or thinking of growing a beard.
Very nice set and a very good price. The price was half what I would have paid in a store for both of these. I don't use the comb too often as my beard isn't long enough to benefit from it but the brush is used several times a day and it works wonderfully. I use beard cream then brush and it really works well. The only con I see is that my brush has lost some bristles - and likely to be expected - BUT I've seen a bristle or two nearly every day in the sink which does cause some concern. I am still giving it a 5 star rating because it does work great, I just hope the bristles hold up . . . TBD.
...and they say purchase this beard brush/comb set if you want to hear a thunderous applause every time you look in the mirror that would make even Thor smile. All jokes aside, this is a high quality boar bristle brush and beard comb at an excellent price point in comparison to similar products. Whether you are new to the beard game or a seasoned woodsmen that makes Paul Bunyan look like a snowflake, a beard brush/comb are necessary tools for appropriate maintenance of your man mane. I have been pleased with this and all the products I've purchased from Viking Revolution and will be back for future purchases of their product line. I think this product is of good quality The brush seems like an average run of the mill beard brush, but the comb is great! It doesn't scratch and seems to be be made of good high-quality wood. While I only paid $10, I'd have preferred to pay a bit more and receive scissors or another accessory, because I don't see anything about the brush that I couldnt have gotten from my neighborhood beauty store for $1-2. Overall I'd say...get it for the comb...you'll love it.
I have a medium length beard, and I am getting to the length where sometimes my beard does whatever it wants. I was using a plastic cheap comb to comb my beard, which is honestly a big no-no. Those cheap plastic combs do more damage to the beard than help them. So, I searched beard combs and brushes. Viking Revolution came up on the list. I looked at the number of reviews and decided to go with this comb and brush set. This is a fantastic set! They arrived quickly, and the packaging was simple but great. The brush and comb are quality products. I love the little touch of the etched logo on both items and the little bag that it comes with to keep everything together. I was a bit skeptical on how the boar bristles would feel on my face. I wanted something to tame the wild beard in the mornings without peeling off my face under my beard. This combo set definitely does a great job. The bristles on the brush are coarse enough to remove the hair that has come out, but it is not overly abrasive to where it becomes uncomfortable. I would absolutely recommend this combo and Viking Revolution products. I value and respect a company that sends you an e-mail to make sure you are satisfied with their products. It shows that they actually care about their quality and have great customer service. If you're looking for an awesome beard comb and brush, look no further. You will not be disappointed!
