Wahl Professional Cordless Designer Clipper #8591 - 90 Minute Run Time - Accessories Included

Wahl Professional Cordless Designer Clipper #8591 - 90 Minute Run Time - Accessories Included

Wahl Designer Clipper. I've been a barber for 18 years. Used Wahl and Andis exclusively. These cordless are the "cats meow".

The Good.....They fit well in your hand and are a dream to hold. Battery life is over an hour. Charge is quick. Attachments are the normal plastic clip on kind, but they do actually work. Sound is pretty quite. Not as quiet as a Andis Chrome Master...but close.

The Bad......Can't really say anything bad about these.

I still use my corded Andis when I need to knock down hair to the scalp.

I am a professional hairstylist/barber. These are pretty good clippers. Designer blades aren't as good as 5 star blades but i went with these because of the reviews of how light they are. Which is very true and I have noticed a huge difference in the pain in my wrist while blending clipper over comb. They also hold a charge really well. I do 20-30 haircuts a day and I only notice the battery dulling a little bit after over half the day.
Things I dont like... These are pretty loud. Louder than I would like them to be and theres no charging dock. Which is extremely annoying. Seems like no big deal to some but in a professional fast paced salon its annoying to have to stop and get the cord and plug them in (which has a little resistance) and then keep going a long my way. All in all I like these clippers

Battery life is great! I'm a full time barber and does everything a corded Wahl senior does. Blade can be adjusted to zero gap. And very lite weight. Does not get hot like regular corded clippers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 👍👍👍

I've used this 4 times in the past month. So far, they work great. I oil the clippers after every cut, as the instructions tell you to do.
I can't think of any cons. I used to use a corded Wahl model but I'll never go back after using this cordless. Before I purchased this I was considering the (cheaper) $30 cordless Wahl color, but people were complaining it was under-powered. Is it true? I'll never know. I don't own the Wahl color cordless, nor have I used it myself, but for the extra money I'm glad I bought the Professional Cordless. Perhaps the Wahl Color Pro's are good enough, as I've seen reviews on other merchant sites saying they are very good.

I really love this clipper. I was torn between these and the magic clip. I’m a hair stylist and I do anywhere between 10-14 cuts a day and in between I charge them and they last me all day. They are super light weight so if you like a heavy clipper I wouldn’t recommend. I tried the magic clip and I felt the only difference was the blade. The magic clip has a crunch blade which is staggered so you get a more “blended” look. However if you know what you’re doing you can get a blended look with the blade on the designers. I felt as if these cut faster and cleaner through the hair than the magic clip as well. If you go with these they won’t disappoint!

I have both the wahl designer and the Oster fast feed as shown in photo. I've done a comparison of them because they are about the same price. Both of these machines can get the job done, you don't need to spend a ton of money on machines.

Wahl designer: Oster Fast Feed:
•Plastic Body •Metal body
•Body: 3.5/5 •Body: 5/5
•Power: 4/5 •Power: 3.8/5
•Battery Life: 5/5 •Corded
•Zero gap: 5/5 •Zero gap: 2/5
•Guards: 2/5 •Guards:3.8/5

The designers has noticeably more power than the Oster, even though it's a cordless machine, that's impressive. The wahl guards aren't all that good.

I've been looking for a quality cordless clipper for a while. Tried a few different brands including one of the best sellers here on Amazon. Didn't like them for various reasons. However, this is a quality cordless clipper that is equal to or better than many corded ones. Very powerful, easy to adjust and very easy to handle and control. Gives a nice even cut with minimal effort. Highly recommended.

These are awesome. If you cut your own hair at home and don't have cordless yet do yourself a favor and pick these up. It's so much easier to shave my head in the tub without worrying about the cord.

I was torn between these and the magic clips. A friend of mine is a barber and he told me to get the magics. I looked up reviews on both and saw some people had issues with the magics snagging so I decided to go with these. The designers are cheaper too.

I purchased this product for personal use, I've been cutting my own hair for 15 years. In that time I've had a few clippers and even at one time an expensive supposedly professional clipper, but it was terrible and expensive (I would like to say the brand but it may not be allowed). The Wahl is fantastic, very good battery and excellent quality cut.

this is a good clipper. I had a pro 2000 for years (a better clipper), and when it broke I decided to go wireless. I cut my own hair, so I like the wireless factor a lot. This clipper does the job. I feel like the AC powered clipper I had cut better, but the difference in my use is negligible. I just make a few extra passes with this one- which is easy because there' no cord to tie me down. I feel like Pinocchio!
