I've owned plenty of Phillips/Norelco products over the years with one package including an electric razor and a separate trimmer. This one is the most complete offering I have ever owned from the Phillips/Norelco brand. The blades are sharp enough to edge and trim precise lines along the hairline and around the beard/mustache and give a relatively comfortable shave as well.
What I like about this offering is:
- Powerful motor that doesn't need batteries to work
- Variety of grooming tools to accommodate anything from trimming and shaping to actual shaving
- Delivers a close, comfortable shave which is a godsend for those of us who must shave daily
- Includes a handsome, faux leather carrying bag that is only filled to half capacity when all the included accessories are stored within it
- Fantastic battery life
- Low-maintenance (i.e., not needing blade oil) means this shaver is ready for usage both at home and on the go
Cons
- The charging interface is undesirable. While standard for this sort of shaver, I would like to have seen a more universal standard like USB-C charging port implemented. That would mean one less cable to have to remember on trips.
- I wish there were some sort of blade guard included in the multitude of accessories that shipped with this offering.
- While the shave is close, those with particularly coarse hair may find themselves needing to include a good razor blade shaving into their routines each week.
Overall, I highly recommend this shaver to just about anyone who needs a versatile, all-in-one solution to keeping themselves well groomed.
This grooming kit has a bewildering array of trimmers, as in, you might be overwhelmed when you open it. Don't be--it is actually pretty easy to figure out which trimmers are meant for your face and which are for your head. The nose/ear trimmers also shouldn't be hard to figure out.
Comes with a very attractive carrying case, too. Very comprehensive set.
I don't get "thrilled" thrilled about too many things. A new BBQ grill, solving a mechanical problem on the first try, the Saints making it to the playoffs (*cough* awful no-call *cough*). But I have to say, I was thrilled to try this kit out. Let me start off by saying that I don't trim or shave chest hair, so the body grooming stuff I wasn't too concerned about. But everything that I could use on my beard, edges, sideburns, I couldn't be happier with. Here's why.
I've owned so many trimmers and groomers over the years. Some are good, some are better. None have been as great as this one. Let's start off with the trimmer itself. Once I get this baby charged, I've got hours on end of trimming time. Some of my trimmers, they just stop holding a charge altogether after a while. It's sharp to the point that I don't have to worry about "pulling" on my facial hair while I trim (beard guys, you already know what I'm talking about). But it gets better.....
No more oil! If you use clippers or trimmers frequently, you already know the drill. Couple of drops of oil on the blades when you finish using it. And eventually, you can start gumming up the head of your trimmer. Then it's a PITA to unscrew it, clean it. Nope, no more need for blade oil with this bad boy. And the blades are stainless steel, you can legit rinse it under running tap water. For good measure, I give it a few good shakes after, then just let it air dry.
You've got every kind of attachment you need, and the guards are labeled so you know which ones to regularly use. There's a comb, a nice boar bristle brush for getting your beard just right. The nose hair attachment, which honestly is cool but I'm probably not going to use it. Lot of guys do, though, so by all means go for it. Little pair of scissors, which comes in handy. And a practical carrying case, which is branded, but really subtle (kudos to Philips for keeping it low-key and not distracting).
Can you find a cheap trimmer at a big box retail store? Sure you can. But you get what you pay for. And everything in this kit is high-quality. This isn't one of cheapo grooming kits that you see at WM when Christmas rolls around, one of those "hey get a gift for him for under thirty bucks" type deals. Good trimmers aren't cheap; cheap trimmers aren't good. This is the only kit you'll need, or the only kit you'd need to get someone as a gift. Fellas, got a beard or goatee? Go ahead and get. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself and you'll see how nice it is. Getting a gift for someone? Add it to your cart now. DON'T do the generic $20 "I hope he likes this cologne" deal (he won't like it). DON'T get the cheap trimmer at Wal-Mart or Tarjay. Don't even get him that beard oil set (sometimes we dig the fragrances, sometimes we hate it and don't have the heart to say so). Get him something that he's actually going to remember, that he will immediately know someone put thought into. I promise you, beard dudes will love this kit.

I have a beard. Not a big beard, just a mustache and goatee. The hair on my head is still hanging in there, but slowly diminishing. I have a separate trimmer for my beard, a separate trimmer for my nose and ears, an electric razor, and a corded hair cutter for my head. I think all of these will go in that section under the bathroom sink that holds the cast-offs and detritus of previous years. This Philips multi-groomer can do all of this and more.
The main body of the unit feels solid in the hand and has a stainless steel finish. The different functions are accomplished by changing to different cutting heads depending on what you're trimming. In addition, each cutting head, except the shavers and nose trimmer, has cutter guards that limit the length of the finished hair, from 1mm to 16mm. Cutting heads are easily changed without tools.
My wife gave me a haircut today. Then I trimmed my beard with the 3mm guard. Tomorrow I'll shave with it.
Things you can do with it:
1. Cut the hair on your head
2. Trim your beard or mustache
3. Shave your face
4. Cut the hair in your nose and ears
5. Trim your eyebrows (special guard just for this)
6. Trim your body hair.
This really is a one tool solution for hair grooming. So five stars for versatility, five stars for value, five stars for build quality, five stars because it's cordless, and five stars just because it's so cool looking.
I hadn't thought of using this in the shower but it's good to know cleanup under running water is ok for the attachments.
Uses for me would only include touching up haircuts between visits to barber and nose/ear trimmer. I'm not into bodily hair removal or beard/mustache/goatee trimming but even the cutters are swappable and this kit seems well equipped for all needed tasks. These worked well as expected.
Swapping the cutter and swappable attachments was tricky at first but easy enough to get the hang of once removing the attached beard trimmer cutter. The tutorial picture confused me; thumb press the middle of teeth rather than outer edges as shown in figure 4 and it pops right off with ease. Looking at the picture again, I now see that the thumb is actually pressing the cutter teeth with finger at opposing bottom. This picture appeared initially to show grabbing each side of cutter teeth with finger and thumb and doing something not interned (beginners tip: note that there is no left or right twisting to remove if confused by this picture as I was). No worries now that that's been done once.
Nice case! The case has plenty of room to store everything and more; maybe a razor, if you actually want to travel with this kit. I grabbed some storage zip bags to sort the guards by cutter size for future use. (They do come individually wrapped for shipping but sorting may be preferred.)

My husband really likes his new trimmer. It is excellent quality and comes with so many options for grooming. So far he has only used the shaving head and the nose hair trimmer and he says they work way better than his old ones which were very expensive. You can even use it as clippers for a haircut. This set comes with every grooming necessity a man would need, especially if he has a beard. It comes with very nice trimming scissors in a holder and even a beard brush and comb. It's very convenient that it came with the bag to keep it all organized. The unit itself is metal and seems like it will last a long time. No oil needed for the blade, my husband was happy about that. It comes with a small brush to clean it. The unit was very quiet and sounded smooth. When you get it, it has to charge for about 3 hours. It has an indicator light that tells when it's charged just enough for a quick shave or fully charged. It also lets you know when it's getting low and needs charging. It says you get 6 hours of use on it with one full charge. It can be used in the shower and the attachments are washable. Overall, he was impressed with this trimmer and he says it's well worth the price. This would make a very nice gift for any man, it is really has everything and more.
After opening the packaging, I was floored by how inclusive this set really is. There is a trimmer/shaver for anything and everybody.
After receiving at least two sets that pale in comparison to this as gifts over the years and have been languishing under my sink, I had only pulled out bits and pieces every now and then when I really needed it and had been underwhelmed by their performance. This set is truly like something out of a barber's shop. Clearly labeled, the different pieces are durable and perform like I have only seen professionals use. My expectations were exceeded completely.
The various trimmers are useful for so many areas and it really feels like you are using professional quality tools. The no oil needed is a major plus! Some of the pieces, I am sure I will never use but, anything is possible. The ones that I have used really blew me away in terms of the end results. The blades feel safe and are extremely efficient. This is something i will definitely be purchasing as gifts this upcoming holiday season for my brothers.
I would absolutely recommend this set to any man out there looking for a lifelong grooming set!
This trimmer has a ridiculous amount of battery life. Of course I expect that to decrease over time, but it's nice not having to plan multiple man-scaping sessions to get the job done.
The quality of the trimmer and accessories is immediately apparent; nothing feels cheap in use, it's all solid, and even the smaller attachments appear robust enough.
Speaking of attachments....good lawd there's enough of these to cover nearly any situation. I don't imagine a single person would ever use more than 1/2 of these, but each person will have their specific uses, (eye brows, body, fading, nose, etc, etc), so the full gambit is covered for anyone.
The included carrying case, is actually quite nicely made. If you pared down the attachments, this would be a great little travel toiletry/travel bag.
Though the price is not insignificant, this little groomer does not disappoint.
This Multigroomer far exceeded my expectations. I have purchased several cordless shavers/trimmers, but none of this caliber. The slim shape and rubber grips make a huge difference. It's easier to hold and maneuver, than ones that I have used. This trimmer will take care of virtually any place on your body that needs shaving and or trimming. With all of the guards supplied and settings, it's almost impossible to mess up. My husband loved how easy it was to use. The stubble guards worked great and with the beard trimmer, my husband now has the popular 5 o'clock shadow look going on. I trimmed his hair and was surprised at how much easier it was to use than the one we had. The All in one trimmer is so slim and easy to maneuver, it would be very hard to go back to our old shaver/trimmer. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to make grooming easier and more professional looking.
Box was really blah but that might not be the final packaging and no biggie..
My husband was a little overwhelmed at the individually packed guards all over.. I think he thought it was all too much to keep track of ( it did kinda look like a guard rave goin on in there lol).. But once sorted out, its a nice set.
I cant imagine anything else a guy would need in a set!
