This three pack provides a fantastic variety. These soaps all lather very well and smell wonderful. Their size and their containers make them great traveling soaps. I've taken to packing either the eucalyptus mint or the bay rum whenever I travel. I melted the lime soap into a mug early on. It melted easily and stayed stable with fairly regular use for many months, usually lathering directly on the soap and putting it away wet. Now that I'm near the end of it, the smell has faded noticeably and the performance has dipped a bit but that's to be expected. If you prefer a puck soap, these make a great daily driver. If you need a travel soap, these fit the bill very nicely.
This soap is probably the highest quality soap on the market. I can assure you that this soap is on par and maybe even better than anything from TOBS or Proraso. I bought this pack, and while I highly favor the lime scent, they all smell good. The lubrication and moisturizing is simply the best. I ordered this product because my local pharmacy was out of my usual shave soap. The first scent I tried was eucalyptus mint and it was phenomenal. The smell is wonderful, and the soap itself lathers up well with minimal water. When you put it on your skin, it gives a cool refreshing feeling and you can tell that the natural oils willl give good lubrication to make for a great shave. I don't shave with a fancy razor, just a Gillette Fusion. The shave I got from this soap was so smooth that I just couldn't believe it. I've tried numerous shave creams in a can or as a soap, and this is by far the best. I have very sensitive skin and got no bumps or rash at all after shaving as closely as possible. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality shave.
I have been wet shaving for many, many years now. I have gone through just about all of the popular shaving soaps over time, and I always notice that each soap has its good and bad points, but none of them were ever perfect. That is until I found these. They are truly fantastic. They are slick, do not dry out on the face - even when shaving with a straight razor, lather very well, and I am three quarters of the way through the bay rum soap and it still smells fantastic. The soaps last a long time. Taconic hit a home run with these soaps, and I found my final brand.
This is a 'glycerin' type clear bar. Although I've just recently received it, my impression is it should last for quite a while. Not melt quickly like some glycerin soaps. Unless I'm really in a hurry, I make three passes, and I had plenty of lather after the third pass; probably enough for a fourth or fifth pass. And I don't spend a lot of time loading my brush. This soap gave me a lather that was wet and lubricated well which is about all I need. The only thing missing, for me, is the fragrance, I've only tried the eucalyptus-mint, which is OK, but there are several from TOBS that I like better.

Very pleased with this purchase. The soap develops a rich, creamy lather, very slick. Getting the right water soap ratio took a bit of playing with, which is normal for a new soap (it takes a bit more than I am used to), but once I had it down the lather is superb.
The scents for all three are very good. The one minor, very minor, issue there is the lime does not seem very strong. If that is the worse I can say about Taconic soap, I am in for years of close, smooth shaves.
my first shave soap now that im taking up straight razor shaving.
they all smell great, but not overpowering at all.
ive only used the lime so far and i love the way my skin feels after.
i havent noticed any residual fragrances after shaving.
i always support companies who are all about products made from as much natural ingredients as practical.
ill def buy their soaps again whenever i happen to run out. (i only shave every 2-3 days)

I previously ordered the bay rum and was so happy with the scent and the overall supurb performance that I had to have the other scents, too. I personally like to make my lather using a boar hair brush and a separate lather bowl, and I like to start the lather out with a little less water then add more as needed. I prefer a thick and creamy lather, and this Taconic trio excells on that front. I like all the scents (still like the bay rum best) and the thick luxurious lather. You won't be disappointed.
I am very pleased with this set of handcrafted shave soaps. The three scents are all pleasantly different. I have only tried the Bay Rum scent so far but can already tell that the other two will be just as enjoy able. The soap is easily loaded onto your brush and works into a smooth and protective lather in no time. The 4oz soap bars will definitely last you a while and with the different scents to rotate thru you won't get bored with the same shave everyday.
Purchased the 3 puck pack. The Mint is the strongest of the scents followed by bay rum then lime. I haven't wiped them up yet but will update review upon use.
