indigo can leave hair burgundy after a few days- brown hair too! Try using Spirulina to get orange brassy color out. It does condition the hair better than Henna. Henna is needed to help bond dye, but add spirulina to indigo paste to take out brassiness and orangeyou can mix Cassia (neutral henna like plant that helps bind color), which is gold/tan on gray, with a bit of henna and indigo. My hair turns brassy/red with just henna and cassia. I need 2 part cassia, 2 part indigo, .5 part henna, 1 part spirulina to get a beautiful golden brown. I use warm vinegar, and mix the powder dry first. Should be a thick yogurt like consistency. Apply all to hair for 2 hours- grays, 30-40 to darken if hair has lightened. Conditioner to take it out- do not bother shampooing. Excellent quality product, comes quickly, I keep in ziplock bag in refrigerator.
I've been using Cassia powder treatments 2-4 times a year for over ten years now and I can only sing the praises! Detangles my hair, keeps everything strong, shiny and healthy. The first few times I did the mask I kind of smell like hay, but learned that loading my hair with cheap silicone-free conditioner after a treatment, and rinsing with cool water for a bit got rid of the smell. Other than that, for 3-4 months after a cassia treatment, my hair is manageable and shines it's ass off. It relaxes my 4a texture just a bit, and helps out my scalp.
Due to the labeling I ordered the wrong product I wanted Pure Henna Powder. This product is "Cassia" which has the same benefits as henna but they do not last as long and it will not change the color of your hair. I gave a four star review because labeling of the product on amazon needs the reorganized so that is reads"100% Pure Natural Cassia Obovata/colorless Henna/Neutral Henna Power" so that customers know exactly what they are purchasing .
Fine quality. I use henna for over 30 years, so believe me, I know what a good quality henna is like:) Highly recommend this brand.

I have eczema and it tend to flare up on my scalp, causing itching and at times extreme dandruff. I picked up this product in hopes that it would strengthen my hair and condition my scalp. And it did just that! I even used on my husbands beard to soften it and help relieve dryness to the skin under. He can't believe the difference.
My first trying it (I used it with Amla hair powder) and my hair was very soft.. i use it Every time I need to condition my hair.
Use alone or with Henna. Soothes scalp and makes hair conditioned and manageable.
I use mixed with other herbs for a hair gloss to strengthen hair. I also infuse into light oils for hair.
I don't use it anymore since I've highlighted my hair and I'm going all the way blond thanks to premature gray.
