The first comb I received was badly warped and had a broken tooth. I immediately e-mailed Rocky Mountain Barber Company (each package is shipped with a card that includes the e-mail to use if you have problems with the product) with pictures and my order information. The customer service was unbelievably good. After a couple of e-mails back and forth that day, a new comb was shipped to me within 24 hours. The new comb has no defects (there is a little bit of waviness to the wood, but that is natural with a wood comb such as this). I use it for beard and hair and it does a great job. It's sturdy, heavy, and the beard oil I use actually helps smooth out the wood. So, it's a good product for what it is: a wood comb. It's not a miracle working product, and it is a little expensive for a comb. I decided to try it out, and I'm glad that I did because I like the product.
My only recommendation would be to order from their website rather than here. Cost is the same, and quality control is much better.

I originally purchased this comb to use on the hair on my head. I believe the comb to be too thick for this and the bristles too far apart. If you're looking for a comb for your head hair and it is short, you'd be better off with a Kent comb. However, if your head hair is longer, this would probably work very well.
I decided to run it through my beard, and I fell in love with this item. Its size and gentle wood really make combing my beard a painless experience. It is also very helpful in distributing beard oil. If you are considering this for your beard, I would say you can't go wrong. I prefer this to other designs of wooden "beard combs" I have tried. Thus, my ***** rating is based on this item as a beard comb primarily. I see myself using this product for years to come.
I've only just received my Rocky Mountain Barber Company comb, but I love it already. It has a lot more heft than I expected, thick at the top but tapering beautifully to smooth and well rounded teeth endings. It is very easy on the scalp, and feels great when combing my hair. Also, being made out of some wonderful wood, it has its own great smell. Okay, most people don't go around smelling their comb, but I guarantee, when you receive yours, you'll smell it. After that, you'll be a goner, and a Rocky Mountain Barber Company customer for life. Think it's a bit expensive for a comb? Those thoughts will disappear immediately as soon as you handle it, and look at the great craftsmanship, and get your first whiff of that beautiful wood scent. All that, and you can comb your hair with it, too. In fact, you may find yourself combing your hair in public, just so people will see what great taste you have in hair combs. It's a beauty.
This is the most expensive personal hygiene product I have ever purchased. But it is 100% worth because of all the attention it gets me. When I whip it out for a quick comb down at the bar, women can't help but stare. It even comes in a shieth, like it's a loaded weapon. Which I guess when all is considered, isn't that inaccurate. This thing also smells great. Like fresh cut wood. Would rank 5 stars but the price is a bit high so it's gets a solid 4
I saw some negative reviews, so I wanted to share my good experience! The comb I received is sturdy and not warped at all. The comb is large, but it fits in my pocket just fine. It works great on both my hair and my beard. I use it to style my hair and straighten out my beard in the morning, and then I carry it with me for touchups throughout the day. I've had it for two weeks now and the case is holding up fine. I kind of doubt it's real leather, but it does the job and hasn't fallen apart yet. I'd definitely recommend this comb.

It’s expensive, but it’s nice to not worry about having a comb snap or split off pieces. A bit heavy, but not too bad. My previous comb was a Kent Handmade comb, and it worked great, but it was so small and thin that I lost it quickly. The sheath provided helps protect the comb against the elements. My main concern in using the comb was that wet or gelled hair might cause damage to the comb, but after two months, it looks the same as how it first arrived.
My husband loved it as an update from his ratty old comb. It is pretty big (not a pocket sized comb), feels heavy, not light and plastic, and arrived in a lovely box. I have even borrowed it for my long hair when I forgot my brush o a long trip, and its sturdy enough for messy knots.
The only downside (hence the 4 stars) is that the 'leather' case does not fit the comb. It is extremely tight and I nearly had to cut it off. Its a pity because my husband likes keeping it in a case, so don't buy it counting on a case unless you want to keep it in the box instead.

Honestly, I wanted to give this particular comb 3-4 out of 5 stars... This product wasn't for me. I'd advise you to go with their plastic modern fine and medium tooth comb If you have THICK hair.
However, the reason why I gave them 5 out of 5 stars is simple: Integrity. The comb itself is sturdy and beautifully made, yet it did not work well with my hair. I reached out to the company and they responded reasonably quick. They sympathized with my dilemma and showed me their new thinner comb. They very were polite/professional and refunded my money, no questions asked.
This company truly values their customer's satisfaction!

My husband needed a new comb to style his hair, and, for his birthday, I did a deep google search to find the top rated combs (because, only the best for hubs, right!?). This comb landed 3rd place in my search, if I remember correctly, but because it wasn’t plastic and seemed like the more natural option, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did!! My husband has been raving about it ever since. The comb is sturdy, beautifully crafted, comes with a nice pouch, and does the job right. Well done.
