Finally! A "Firm Hold" mustache wax that really is firm hold.
This wax will hold your mustache for hours. At room temperature, the wax in the can is absolutely solid. It MUST be warmed to be applied. The only down-side is that it takes a few sessions before the knack of applying it smoothly is learned. (Comb it in in three directions before styling in the fourth direction.) Once it is in place and your mustache styled, it is IN PLACE. Your mustache is not going anywhere. Hot coffee and hot soup don't phase it one bit.
The Opium Den scent is pleasant, unusual and old-fashioned manly.
After trying many waxes, in Opium Den I have finally found a wax that satisfies all my requirements.
smell is nice, not over powered. and the hold is very good, definitely has a learning curve. use care or can rip mustache hairs out I do not put it on heavy as Iike the more natural look, but it seems like this was could have some crazy hold for handlebars, if you so be inclined. over all it does what I was wanting it to do.
First off I'm using my wife's account and this is a review for the opium den wax. I already have their barbershop smell which smells awesome and the opium den works the same but this smells really weird. It might be correct for the description but for me it's odd. The first thing I thought of was burnt chocolate and clove. Its five stars for how it works and three stars for smell but like I said it could be correct per the opium den name
Great product! Holds my stash in a tight handlebar all day long, and I work in direct care so that's no easy task as I'm active the whole day. Easy to use and smells great too. Last forever and in the long run is probably cheaper than Clubman and other bargain brands. Just like everything from Bearded Bastard it's just plain great.
I have found that wax with petroleum jelly is ok but the hold fades. This wax uses lanolin instead and it is the best I have tried so far. Holds all day and makes it easy to train the mustache. Highly recommended.

I'm a big fan of this wax. This is my second tin. Love the scent. It's always easy to apply, and if it does happen to be cold, I just hold the tin in the palm of my hand for a minute and it warms right up. I wish it had maybe a little stronger hold, but if that had to come at the expense of anything else, I'd rather keep the wax the way it is.
Works great when I want a medium hold. Add some heat from a dryer and the spice comes out. Just shave off a bit with your thumbnail and work it in throughout the day to keep looking sharp.
It smells nice, and it works well to keep my mustache away from my lips. I could probably get a stronger hold if I applied it twice, but I don't feel that's necessary for the look I want. I just wanted the hairs to stop irritating my lips and curling into my mouth, and it does that. I'm happy with it.
Great stuff. Best I’ve used. Tamed the beast, with conditioning, fullness and great scent. Far superior to CYH Primary. Even if not a fan of mustache wax, should give this a try. Love the product and the brand.
