I’ve cut my own hair for over 20 years. I’ve used miscellaneous barber scissors before, and for the last few years had been using a nice pair of office scissors because the blades were comparable and I preferred the much bigger multi-finger grip holes. I decided to give these a try, and I’m glad I did. The blades are way better than anything I’ve used before. I can much more easily slice through a lock of hair. I can finish the job faster with less effort.
yes, super sharp. cut my self on first use. love them both. quality, sharp, sturdy, stable, cutting my boys hair, my ends, bangs .love to use the thinning for all of our bangs, so boys dont have a straight across cut on their super straight hair. i also like to thin out the back of my sons hair, just grab a 2 in portion in back and cut, ;prob. 3 x. then its lighter for him. keeps him cooler . he has long hair. great product.
I feel like these are very nice quality shears. I'm not a professional, but I do cut my son's hair on a regular basis. He hates getting haircuts, so I have to do it myself. These are comfortable to hold, come well oiled so they move quick, and are extremely sharp. Makes haircuts go a little faster, so they're a little less painful. The only thing is, I had a couple of the black plastic rings where you put your fingers in, come out while I was cutting his hair for the first time. These little rubber rings are there for comfort I think. They come out extremely easily. This doesn't really bother me though. I would definitely buy them again.
We groom our own dogs and the "professional" scissors we'd had for years were beyond sharpening. I bought these because of all the favorable ratings and felt that I couldn't go too far wrong when the set was only $25. Both the thinning shears and the regular scissors are super sharp and do a wonderful job. The grooming takes far less time than before and because of that is less stressful for the dog--a win for everyone! Someone mentioned that they didn't last for 2 years but for this price, so what?! They have certainly started out great. As for the way they're packed, it's perfect. The slight amount of oil is "insulating" the blades and can simply be wiped off. I give this manufacturer kudos for the product and the packaging, it is 'way more than you'd expect for the price.
One always hopes that scissors with "razor edge" in the name will be sharp. I'm a novice and bought these to groom my dog at home. Excellent quality, substantial weight and razor sharp. These will literally cut you without your feeling it. That's my fault. Overall, great great, quality product for the price.

I love this pack. Both scissors cut seamlessly without snagging and are super sharp. Packaging is secure and excellent for continued storage of the scissors. Love this item and would purchase again with confidence. Honestly, I have been running around cutting everything in sight because I can and it's fun. I love the design and comfort. I'm now trying to talk my hubby into letting me trim his hair :)
I do not cut hair as a profession, only to cut my son's hair. These are easy for me to hold and use. Seem like a great quality especially for price
For the money, this is the nicest, sharpest pair of hair cutting scissors I've ever purchased! I LOVE the tension screw. They are also beautiful and just look nice in a little hair kit on the bathroom counter. EXCELLENT! :)
Got the 2 shears - for beginners and they are so professional looking and performance. Sharp - perfect for hair cutting. And yes, there was liquid on the shears - but that's a sign of good packaging.....you should be more concern if scissors didn't come that way. Overall, a really nice set - so much more that expected - and more value compared to the price.
I love these! Very high quality for the price. I am not a professional but my son has very naturally curly hair which I have to trim about every two weeks. I loved these so much I even trimmed my own hair and it looks great! If you are hesitating on buying these; don't!
