I bought this for Hubs. He has tried a variety of Detroit Grooming Co. products. Here's his take:
They nailed the Corktown scent. The cedarwood, sweet pipe tobacco, and vanilla is the perfect manly blend. He loves it. I love it. In addition to this product, he's also tried the Corktown beard oil and the Cedar Springs beard oil.
Can't decide between the beard oil or beard Butter? Hubs says the butter is a little neater to apply than the oil. The solid would also make it a better on-the-go option if you travel. He says the oil conditions a little better than the butter. Honestly, you won't go wrong with either. We give both 5 stars.
The smell is strong and sweet. I might get used to it, not sure if it like it.

I love the texture and feel of the Corktown beard butter but I will try a different scent next time. Only con is the product wasn’t shipped with stickers or any kind of swag. I love getting stickers from the companies I order from to show my support and let others know who I support.
My favorite balm. Vanilla tobacco is a great scent.
This stuff is great. I love the smell and I get a lot of compliments to those I hug. It appears to be a small container but this product goes a long way with proper application. I watched some online videos of how to apply it but I use my middle finger and thumb. I get a very small amount with my middle finger and then I rub it between my middle finger and thumb and then I work it into my beard using my comb to comb through my beard to finish it off.

Smells like absolute heaven. I've been receiving compliments on how nice it smells from my gf to random people so I know it's not my head blowing up. So I went with a beard butter because oils don't contain the straggler hairs while pomade can feel stiff. This is a good middle ground. I have a decent hold but nothing wax like and it still gives the beard a healthy shine. Will definitely order this again in a larger size along with the other flavor.

Best smelling Butter I've ever encountered.
I use it every day when I get out the shower and I think it works pretty well. Keeps the beard moisturized just about all day. And it has a very manly smell too it which my wife enjoys.
