I've never had hair like this before. That's not a good thing nor a bad thing but I can't say that I dislike the hair.
Naturally when I got it I shampooed it and it was very weird that the hair did not soak the water. It kind of floated on top of it instead. It did lather and rinse and the texture stayed the same. Then I let it dry and used my Bebella curling wand (3/4 inch) on it and it was really cute. Initially. As the day went on, it turned into cousin It from the Adam's family. So I flat ironed it when I got home and it is THE hardest hair to straighten I have ever worked with. I flat ironed it again in VERY small sections, going very slowly and it finally straightened. That lasted for a day.
The hair needs some product to manipulate it. The problem is that the product doesn't soak INTO the hair it just sits on top of it. Like coating it. The hair reacts to humidity too. It's not an instant re-puff but more gradual. So basically the hair is going to revert back to the exact texture and state it is that you see in the picture. At least mine is. That said, I don't necessarily dislike the hair. It does shed. But because of the texture, it is thick.
My flat iron might not be hot enough or something. When I did straighten it the second time, it was very Naomi Campbell sleek and sexy. When I used the curling wand on it (again, mine may not be getting hot enough for THIS hair) it was very beachy sexy. I'm giving it 4 stars because:
1. It came exactly as described
2. It does look like black folk hair
3. It shampooed and dried well
4. I'm not totally unhappy with it
I try to be honest and thorough in all my reviews. I posted pictures of the hair freshly straightened and after I used the curling wand on it.
I think this will become one of my favorite units... at first I was hesitant about ordering a unit on Amazon since Ive used my own personal vendor for years now but I have to say that I wish I ordered a 2nd or 3rd duplicate but for a first time order I played it safe. Overall, the unit is very nice... the hair is extremely soft and beautiful. Upon inspection, I noticed that while the description says this is a front lace, its more like a half lace unit because the lace section is fairly large allowing for amble parting space which I love. The wig makers ventilated the hair in front in two different directions which made for a natural part in the front which for me was great since I tweeze parts into my units anyway so it made for a great guide to further tweeze a natural part!! Right out of the package, the hair looked like natural blow dryed African American hair! I shampooed and conditioned the hair with minimal shedding and tangling.... the coloring didnt run a lot either which is a good sign. I ordered a #1 by accident. Im usually a #1B girl since I find the jet black units to be extremely harsh and artificial looking due to the Asian dyes but thats not the case here at all... the coloring with the hair texture looks extremely natural. I flat ironed the unit and once straighten the hair resembled freshly permed/relaxed African American hair. I very much like this unit, but there are two flaws that I noticed... (neither are big deals to me but just something to mention) Con #1. the hair density in the front lace section is by far much thicker than the wefts on the back cap area (for me, this isnt a huge issue as I can add a few wefts in the back for more fullness but for you ladies that dont want to put in the extra effort, this is just a heads up)... Con #2. the hair doesnt hold a curl for long... I used both a curling iron and slept overnight with flexirods and the curls only lasted for a 20 - 50 mins tops. Now Im not sure if hair spray would allow for extra hold but I dont like to use a lot of product on my units so maybe this will just be for straight wrap styles. By again, I will be ordering another twin unit since I do like to rotate my units (they last longer that way). Shipping took about 2-3 days and arrived via UPS which is fairly quick considering this item wasn't available via Amazon Prime.

Beautiful wig! 0 complaints. I'm extremely impressed. Whether I straighten it or wash and go for a curly look.. Beautiful either way! :) satisfied customer.. I will be ordering again.
I love this wig! I have 14 inches of coarse thick hair and this wig looks exactly like my hair after I blow dry it. When the wig came I flat ironed it like I do my natural hair and the result was stunning. No one could tell the difference. It looks like my natural hair. My family just thought that I added some extensions for extra length.
The medium cap size fits well and that was a concern for me because I had to fit all of my hair under that cap. The lace is good quality and I can part the hair anywhere. I received an email soon after purchase asking if I wanted combs and elastic or would rather leave the wig in its natural form. I opted for the combs and elastic. Make sure you look for this email and reply to it so that you can get your wig made the way you like it.
The shipping was super fast and I will definitely order another unit from this company so that I can always have one ready while the other is being washed and air dryed. Another reviewer stated that the wig is best suited for African American hair because of the density and texture and that is true. The wig is very dense and full which adds to the natural looking effect.

This wig is the truth. The only problem I had was shedding but it was so much hair that I didn't mind it. Seriously people thought this was my real hair.

Let me just start off by saying this hair is freakin AMAZING!! OMG! So realistic! Hair is soft and beautiful. I curled the hair and it holds well. Nice and full and love the fact that you can part or style how ever u want. The customer service is awesome. I got fast shipping and fast response from Alex. I received the unit on 12/2/15, but I wanted to wait before writing a review. Throughout the whole process, Alex's communication was excellent. As soon as I placed my order, he emailed me inquiring about any customizations I may need. He also kept me informed about my order from start to finish.
First impressions: the hair was really soft and full, and the silk top looks really natural. If you don't like big hair, I'd suggest flat ironing the unit (it flat irons really well too). You will have to pluck the parting space though. The cap construction is neat and sturdy, and there's three combs as well as adjustable straps. There's one comb on each side, and one on the top (I suggested that there be one added in the back, and Alex said he would be able to place one there upon request).
After wearing the wig continuously for over a week, I'd say it's an excellent buy overall. It sheds maybe 1 or 2 strands a day, but that could be from me plucking the "scalp". I've also flat ironed it quite a few times, and it thickens back up to it's natural state when wet. That's a good sign. I did order a small cap, but I had to sew the unit down to keep the closure from lifting. My head is extremely small so the unit fits kinda loosely.
Overall, I'd definitely buy again!
4.5 Stars, rounded up to 5. This is a great wig. It's soft, it's ridiculously full (too full if you ask me) and very versatile. I love that you can part it anywhere. When plucking the hairs to thin the hairline some of my lace tore. It also sheds a bit, probably because I cut into it so much.
The pics other ppl poster were really helpful so here you go. The first is pre flat iron, next is after flat iron, not on highest level though. I put in a ponytail up in the other pic. The last pic I put a little powder on the part. It would've been better if they were bleached IMO. The silk top version of this wig is incredible BTW.
