These clippers are great for the price. I had to adjust to power switch being on the bottom but besides that they fade very well, I never had them get hot while I'm cutting, and they are an overall good clipper. I would recommend it especially if you want to try something different.
You can't zero gap it without modifying it. So if you do alot of bald fades or skin fades that might be an issue. I basically just used my trimmers and flicked out the bald line.
Purchased this Pilot clipper to replace an aging Wahl "Homecut Adjustable" clipper. This is a far superior (and more expensive) unit than the older Wahl Homecut clipper. This new unit is much lighter, much quieter, and much easier to hold with the molded-in "grips". These are all essential ingredients if you cut your own hair. It is also just as powerful, if not more so than the old unit. One main shortcoming is the on/off switch which is a bit flimsy, and far to easy to toggle. The other main drawback is the usage of the three-hole slide/blade system. While it may be super-easy to swap blades, it is very difficult to adjust the gap, and was actually impossible to set a gap of less than 3/32" - which is far too large. So I swapped out the three hole slide for a two hole slide and now the Pilot is perfect. Highly recommended, especially if you convert to the two hole slide mechanism.
If you want this clipper New and not one that has been Used and returned, order it from Amazon. I ordered this clipper from Five Stars,
I received it dirty, everything was opened and crammed back into the box. This company made No attempt to even clean it up or package
it back in the box like it was new. ( I would Not accepted it anyway ).
Now about the clipper, it has a good balance to it and is very acceptable for cutting your own hair. I like the full sized blades which
means that it will accept all Wahl attachment full sized combs. It doesn't have the power that I assumed that it would have. However,
I'm not running a barber shop, so it will do fine for what I use it for. I gave it 3 stars because of the power. Yet, as I stated I'm not
using it in a barber shop. So, I'm assuming that it has the power that it is suppose to have. I do highly recommend this clipper for
your personal use. Remember whom to order it from, if you want a NEW one......
This is great for small hands and wrist problems. It is small and lightweight. The cord is about the same length, maybe a bit longer than the wahl super taper 2s i was previously using. The motor also seems to be just as strong.

The size of this unit is more than I was looking for. Its weight loss helps when you have been cutting hair all day when your hands have become fatigued. I am a Barber. Smith Shears.
Noise is louder than the Wahl five star trimmer. The normal blade size makes it a plus with your after market attachment combs. So far no snagging of hair. Hair type was curly and full.
I would recommend changing the blade as I will. To see effects of the motor but also for tapering and fading results.

It’s small, it’s powerful, and it’s a great price. It seems like it’s built to last and so far there is no problems with it.
I choice the Pilot because I was looking for a hair clipper that my girlfriend could use on me. It needed a few basic requirements:
1) light weight
2) doesn't vibrate a lot
3) small
4) powerful enough to get through my hair, which a lot of consumer grade hair clippers can't do very well.
It meet those needs excellently. The rotary motor was especially smooth, while being light weight and powerful.
It was very comfortable for my girlfriend to hold, as well as for myself, even though my hands are on the larger side, and hers are fairly dainty.
The blade on this is also interchangeable with the fuller sized wahl hair clippers, as well as the attachments that can be attached to the blade. This is nice since I don’t have to worry about replacement parts since I feel this clipper can last me a long time.
It never got too hot to use, it was actually cooler than the consumer grade products. It does need to be cleaned and oiled for proper maintenance, but it’s easy to do, the oil is cheap, and if you really wanted to be lazy, there are sprays you can use for this purpose to be even easier.
Everything you really need came in the box to start using it right away. I would recommend in time you purchase the cleaners and lubricants that you want to use for maintenance as the ones that come in the box are more of a trail size, but they still work.
There is nothing I dislike about this hair clipper, even the cord has a nice feel and is way more than long enough.
My only minor compliant is that there is no mentioning of the exact sizes of the clipper combs (which are 1/16" 3/16" 1/8" 1/4" 3/8"1/2" 3/4" 1" if I remember correctly) and the size I happened to like the most wasn't part of the set that came in the package. Honestly that is a minor compliant, and not worth removing a star since this is a professional product, and you would already have all the combs anyway, and they are easy enough to buy. I just happened to switch which size I use, and really the size is almost the same so I don't care, and I'm not going to buy more combs just to have a more perfect size.
It does have the taper lever but that is more advanced than I have learned so far, but maybe one day I'll get there.
Good set of clippers, easy to manipulate with its small size. They dont heat up as quickly as other Wahl clippers, power chord isn't super stiff. My only complaint is that the screw holding the adjustment lever has to be watched as it works its way loose from time to time.
These clippers fit way better then standard size clippers in a womans hand, not hard on the wrists especially when used all day at work. Work like other full size clippers. Really am pleased with this purchase.

Good size, light and tough. I didn’t get the guards as advertised on Amazon and the box, which was a bit frustrating. They are a little more tedious to clean, but overall, a decent purchase!
