Decorum Reboot Mint Beard Oil, 4 Ounce

Decorum Reboot Mint Beard Oil, 4 Ounce

Full disclosure -- I don't have a beard. Sometimes I let my stubble grow out over the weekend, but when heading back to work I always shave. I find the 4oz. Decorum Reboot Mint Beard Oil is still worth owning though. It softens and soothes the skin, locking in moisture after shaving or washing. The mint in the mix leaves a light, pleasant tingle. When I put it on before bed at night, the next morning's shave is very easy and my skin feels great. I have even put it elsewhere on my body to sooth and lock in moisture. When I put it on my feet, one of my cats invariably has to lick it off -- I'm not sure why. The kitty suffers no ill effects, so I can only assume the ingredients are wholesome.

If you have a beard, this is worth giving a shot to see if it conditions and keeps you from scratching. If you don't have a beard, The Decorum Reboot Mint is still a soothing tonic for the skin.

I've had a beard for over 40 years and never considered any type of oil/conditioner use. Partly because I tend to have oily skin and just assumed these products would not be helpful.

The oil comes out a drop at a time if you gently squeeze the bottle. I like the flip open nature as there's no dropper to have to deal with. I've found 8 drops is sufficient to cover my beard (full but short - about 1/2").

I like the light mint smell of this oil. It goes on easily and is absorbed in about an hour (at least that's about how long it it before I stop getting oil on my hand if I touch the beard). That's also about how long it is before the minty smell goes away.

I was quite surprised that it leaves my beard feeling softer. Mine is not rough to start with, and I've never had any complaints about it being rough or "prickly," so I thought this would make no difference - it does. At the end of the day my beard feels almost as soft as my hair (my hair is baby-fine and very soft to touch). I went a day or two without using this oil to see if there was a difference and was surprised that it feels slightly rougher without having used the oil.

Will this make me a regular oil user? I don't know as it is a bit messy to apply as it leaves your hands oily and in need of washing after application. That's the only negative for me.

If you like mint and have a beard I'd recommend giving this product a try.

I had been using another fancier beard oil to keep my mustache and beard from being too scratchy, but actually do prefer the Decorum product better. Its easier to apply, does seem quite effective on my bristly facial hair and the value is rather strong on the price/volume front.

Two points to remember- due to the dispenser and the consistency, a lot can come out in a hurry, You adapt quickly, but go easy the first time. Also the oil is quite persistent so you will need to clean your hands and any spots on your face you did not intend for this to cover (I use a soft face cloth for this). Overall, I am fond of this oil and it is now replacing the more expensive product I was using.

This is probably my 5th brand of beard oil I've tried for my short, full beard.

+ The mint aroma is very nice.
Not your typical musky masculine scents, but one that is refreshing without feeling feminine.

> The pour applicator is okay.
The oil can come out in a rush, so you have to be careful. No dropper or drop applicator here...but one big hole in the top of the bottle that you push to open.

+ After a fresh shave and wash, about 7-days later the newly growing beard goes through the itchy stage...unless I use a product, like an oil, to help it along. This helps get through that itchy stage.

+ The beard seems softer afterwards.
When combined with the beard balm (a completely different aroma) from Decorum, they work well together to really soften things up.

OVERALL:
A worthy competitor to the market!!

A beard has been a part of me for decades and I have always trimmed it shorter after being unsuccessful at getting all of the hair to grow the same direction and look healthy.

Pros
Beard oil has a fresh minty scent but not overpowering
Eliminates flaking dry skin and brightens the beard with a healthy glow
My facial skin feels softer and no longer itches from dryness

Cons
There is a slight oily residue after application that transfers to the collar of my shirt

My husband loves Decorum Reboot's mint beard oil as much as I do. It comes out a drop at a time so you don't get too much on your facial hair at once. Plus, it not only softens his beard but makes it look silkier and shinier. It's also a great skin moisturizer.

He's tried a lot of beard oils, and I usually don't like them because they're musky and overpowering to my rather sensitive nose. Reboot is the exception. It has a soft minty fragrance that smells clean, cool, and very sexy to me. He likes to put beard oil on at night and now I'm finally happy that he does - I enjoy the fragrance very much.

Highly recommended. It works well and smells terrific

Consisting of only three natural and safe ingredients -- soybean oil, almond oil, and peppermint oil - this Decorum Reboot Mint Beard Oil is a pleasure to use. It leaves my coarse beard hair softer, smoother and more healthy looking. The oils also take care of an occasional dry skin itchiness and irritation immediately upon application. Lastly, mint oil has a nice, refreshing aroma to it, adding to the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

I got this for my significant other and it made his mustache an vandyke soft. So my sister and I gave the oil a real feel test by trying it on her husband's full beard. Not only did it make his one inch(ish) beard soft, but it tamed that joker. Now every time they come over, she's using it on him.

Something that can tame his Yeti beard is worth the $11 bucks on Amazon.

This is awesome on my beard. It smells very nice, really minty, but isn't too overpowering. A little goes a long way and just about a quarter size amount leaves my long beard soft and smooth all day. Overall, I love the smell of this and how soft it makes my hair.

I have a medical condition where the skin under my hair/beard flakes and becomes irritated now and then. I've been putting this on my scalp and beard and find it very soothing. The smell is quite pleasant, and I think the price is quite reasonable. I couldn't be happier with it.
