My son-in-law has a beard and he really likes using beard oil. Captain Thug Beard Oil has a strong scent that he likes. This is a masculine scent. It is strong but not overpowering. This helps control the beard and make it look groomed. It’s a good product that does not irritate the skin.
This is awesome on my beard. It smells very nice, but isn't too overpowering. A little goes a long way and just about a quarter size amount leaves my long beard soft and smooth all day. Overall, I love the smell of this and how soft it makes my hair.
I have a full beard and have used beard oil in the past so I was curious to see how this Captain Thug branded beard oil compares. The bottle sent to me for review was nicely packaged in a small box wrapped in plastic. There was intense fragrance in the envelope in which it was mailed to me, but I did not detect any leakage. Like other beard oil I have used in the past, it comes in a small bottle with an eye dropper dispenser in the cap. To use the product you wet your beard with water. Put 3-5 drops of the beard oil in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and then rub them all over your beard and mustache. Use a comb to distribute it throughout your entire beard evenly. I use a wooden beard comb purchased separately from Amazon, but even a plastic comb will work just fine.
Beard oil takes numerous uses to appreciate its advantages. With time it will help soften your beard and make longer beards more manageable. This Captain Thug Renaissance scent is a very intense citrus scent with what seems to be some eucalyptus in it. It’s a pleasant scent but, despite its intensity, does not seem to linger for very long.
Overall, I like this beard oil. It compares favorably with other brands I have used. And I do like this scent. It looks like it sells for about $8.95 a bottle which is competitive with other brands. Even though the 30 ml bottle seems very small, this bottle of beard oil will last a very long time even with regular usage. If you have a beard and would like it to be softer and more manageable, I recommend giving it a try.

This is a really nice, strong smelling oil that is almost choking at first, but then settles down to something somewhat manageable. A little goes a long way, so this bottle will last a while.
It's hard to describe the scent: the best I can say is that it reminds me of a yoga studio. It's not quite "old spice" but more "lighting incense to cover up weed smell." I like the scent, but there's something a little... cheap? sketchy? I don't know. I'm on the fence as to whether it evokes a positive reaction from other people, just like I'm on the fence between 4 and 5 stars, but right now I'm inclined to round up... but I'm interested in trying other scents from this brand to see if I like others any more.
First of all, this did not leak during shipping. It's well packaged. It's an attractive bottle with a dropper attached, so you don't have to tip the bottle and risk more coming out than you want. You use the dropper and put as much as you desire in your hand and then rub it into your beard. It smells amazing. This one in particular was very strong but it is a delightful pine scent. It immediately makes one think of the woods. Def manly. Doesn't make the hair over shiny or over oily and helps with beardruff. Scent is long lasting and you smell it throughout the day.

This Captain Thug beard oil works very well. I love the scent. It definitely softens up beard hair. This has healthy ingredients in it. Highly recommended. Also works great on tattoos.
This is a fine beard oil. Use this for a week and you'll find your stiff beard hair has softened and is now more manageable. The scent is fine, a kind of synthetic citrus/spice that does not last so long as to be a problem. The price might seem kind of high for a smallish bottle, but you don't use much every day, just a few drops. After a week or two, you can use it every other day or every third or fourth day. I like this beard balm.
I don't currently have a beard but I might grow one again and found the brand name intriguing. It works as a skin moisturizer too, and I have noticed some dry skin problems in areas I shave my face so I'm trying it out. A couple of drops goes a long way and the scent is strong but pleasant without the weird "chemical" odors of some types of aftershaves (which is the reason I don't generally use them).
This oil has oils in it that some may not like the smell of it. I love it. I have put some on my hair and my hands. The oils are wonderful and do so much for your skin. I even just put a few drops on my face. I have a skin condition and I think this will help my face too. My hair is nice and soft now.
So, this arrived slightly oozing out of the package to the point that the post office had to put it in a bonus bag. I don't know if that's a common issue of if I just got unlucky.
Other than that, it's got a nice fragrance (it's definitely fragrant), and it feels good in my beard!
