Buf-Puf Reusable All-Purpose Facial Sponge, Gentle , 6 Count

Buf-Puf Reusable All-Purpose Facial Sponge, Gentle , 6 Count

For years I have used a high-priced alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) to exfoliate my break-out prone, middle-aged facial skin. I didn't love it because it was a sticky gel (can't use lotions due to break outs); when I got the gel too close to my hair line, it caused breakage (like a bad perm); and I wasn't really getting the results I wanted. It worked, but I didn't get the gentle, effective exfoliation I was looking for. I stopped using it several times, but I would see the difference, for the worse, in the tone and texture of my skin after a few days. Fast forward to a business trip. I forgot to pack my AHA, so as a backup, I used a clean washcloth to exfoliate mechanically for a few days. I had such good results with this old fashioned method, I remembered how much I depended on Buf-Pufs in my acne-prone teen years. I found these on Amazon, and I have been amazed. Truly. I get MUCH better results from the daily mechanical exfoliation I get with this product than the chemical exfoliation I got with an AHA. My skin tone and texture are much improved, and I don't miss the nightly routine of applying a sticky, hair-breaking gel to my face. (Understatement!)

Best easy way to clean and gently exfoliate at the same time. I've been using these sponges with my cleansing lotion for years and very happy to find this multi-pack. I rinse it with cold water and flick it against edge of sink rather than squeezing to remove water and let air dry. That helps maintain the loft of the sponge for a longer time. Love these!

BEEN USING A BUF-PUF FOR OVER 30 YEARS (REPLACE 2 EACH YEAR). ONE I USE OR MY FACE, AND THE OTHER I USE ON MY ARMS AND LEGS. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE "NON-ABRASIVE" SCRUBS. DON'T LIKE THEM AT ALL. THIS WORKS FOR ME, AND HAS ALWAYS WORKED, I USE THE ONE FOR SENSTIVE SKIN. I WASH IT IN THE LAUNDRY (IN A HOSIERY BAG), EVERY 2 WEEKS. LET'S FACE IT, IT IS BEING WASHED EVERY DAY REALLY. I ALWAYS RINSE IT CLEAN, BEFORE I STORE IT FOR THE NEXT SHOWER.

I love Buf Pufs. Been sing them since I was about 21, and I'm 58 now with skin that looks younger, so I'm told! The Buf-Puf is getting hard to find in stores so I buy them here.

The sponges I received were exactly as pictured. I have dry/normal skin and I got the gentle sponges. I use the sponge in the shower with my cleanser. They are perfect for medium exfoliation (light exfoliation if I'm gentle) and I noticed a difference in my skin after one use. My face was immediately brighter, smoother, and softer. I also use the sponge down my neck and chest. There is a separate body sponge but I have found that this sponge works fine for me to use on those areas.

I was so happy to find these! I used to buy these for years, but then couldn’t find them in any stores, for the last 8 years or so...and so I purchased a Walgreen’s brand that is similar. But then Walgreen’s discontinued theirs, and I found my original BUFFPUFF!!! Hooray!!

I've been trying to 'green' my skincare routine, and have been bothered by exfoliating agents that are often little plastic particles. If you ever want to look at what those things really are (and what they can do) Google 'nurdles' which is seriously what they are called.

So anyway, I remembered using Buf-Puf's when I was in high school, so I found them on Amazon and ordered a gentle one to try. Its definitely an exfoliator, I almost went to the extra-gentle, but I just eased up on the pressure when using it and its been great. I apply a squirt of my facial cleanser and gently massage my face, and then rinse- I then follow up with a quick wash with the facial cleanser again, just to get any dead skin swept away.

I can see a difference in my face after about three months of 3-4x/week use, fewer white bumps and blackheads and smooth-feeling skin. A Buf-Puf is a great way to exfoliate without chemicals.

These are amazing! Recommended by a dermatologist 20 years ago and I won’t go back, everyone I convince to try them for acne has loved them and converted. You will never have to do microdermabrasion if you use this!

I have been using the Buf-Pufs for years, off and on. I hadn't been able to find them at local stores recently, so I got them from Amazon--so convenient and a good price, too! There is nothing as good for exfoliating as a Buf-Puf. My only regret is that I didn't order the Extra Gentle instead of the Gentle. As I get somewhat older, I think my skin has become more delicate. The Gentles I used before are a little rough, and my skin is a little pinker after use than it used to be. (I use them once a day, not more.) I think if I'd gotten the Extra-Gentle they would be perfect. My skin is much fresher looking and clearer when I use these. I have tried other brands off and on, trying to save a little on the price, but the other brands are either too rough or they collapse after a few usings. Buf-Pufs last longer and stay fresh, as long as you rinse them well and shake them out after each use. Use them with a good sudsy soap or cleaner, and don't press too hard, and they will keep your skin fresh looking without being too rough.

These sponges are great to use in the shower several times a week. Even with the gentle sponges I wouldn't use them more often as I have sensitive skin. My esthetician did advise me not to use them on the sides of my nostrils, it's very easy to break capillaries in that area. Initially I tried the regular, they were way to much for my face, but work well on my body.
