Blazing Saddles Solid Cologne - The Sexiest Cologne Ever - 1 oz - Western Leather, Gunpowder, Sandalwood, and Sagebrush in a Pocket-sized Tin - Men's or Women's Cologne

Blazing Saddles Solid Cologne - The Sexiest Cologne Ever - 1 oz - Western Leather, Gunpowder, Sandalwood, and Sagebrush in a Pocket-sized Tin - Men's or Women's Cologne

If you understand what they are going for with this cologne, you will not be disappointed. With that said, it is a scent that is not in your traditional category of men's colognes. I think it is a love/hate relationship with it and it will depend on the individual, but you can say that about all colognes and about pretty much any product in general. What I can say is that this absolutely delivers on the scent it is going for... have no doubt about that. It goes on well, isn't overbearing, has a masculine characteristic... again, it's not Drakkar Noir and don't expect it to be and it isn't attempting to be... it is a different fragrance altogether. It is a high quality product and I'd recommend it if you are looking for something out of the traditional area of men's colognes. I can see that, if this happens to be their style, people would love it. It comes as advertised. I will buy other products from this company as they clearly make quality products, even if this particular one is not to my exact style.

I have to be honest. The initial product I purchased was Blazing Saddles, and while I won’t speak negatively about it, I will just say that it’s not for me. I’m a guy transitioning from sportier scents (Chanel Bleu and the like) to another realm of masculine that’s indicative of a simpler, yet more adventurous lifestyle that me and my family are moving toward. Not only did Outlaw’s packaging and presentation catch my eye, but I caught on to the vibe they were exuding. Simpler products that harken back to that old western-style sense of adventure. So, Blazing Saddles didn’t work out for me. I let them know and they sent me another great product called The Gambler. Notes of vanilla, tobacco, bourbon, and a musk that I haven’t smelled until now. Yeah, it takes someone getting close to you for them to really smell it, but I can smell it all day long (with midday touch-ups). Talk about a great form of masculine aromatherapy. I really don’t care if anyone else smells it, so long as I can. The Gambler boasts a scent of confidence and masculinity which seems to be lost in most luxury fragrances out there today. I highly recommend this brand and fragrance. If the fragrance doesn’t work out, just tell ‘em. They’ll help you out!

It took me a little while to warm up to this Solid Cologne but I have grown to enjoy it. The dominating fragrance to me is the Sage. People have told me it has a very "clean" smell. The tin has ample amount inside, I have used mine for about two weeks and am finally starting to see a dent in it.

Application is very easy just swirl your fingers around on the product a bit to create a little warmth from friction. I mainly rub it on my neck. It is perfect pocket size and does not add much bulk to your pocket. I have been carrying this with me everywhere to apply throughout the day. After having in my pocket for a couple of hours the solid gets very soft and the application gets much easier.

Behind my ears has a tendency to try out so I rub this behind my ears as well and it has worked very well. I have even used it as a hand balm a couple times and it rubs in very well and does not leave my hands slippery. I wash my hands a lot so they tend to dry out and this has helped. I know it is not meant to be used as a moisturizer but I have noticed this as a side benefit.

“How on earth do they get these amazing scents in a can?!” was what first came to mind when I opened the container. If you know your rugged smells, you’ll quickly recognise spice, leather and, most surprisingly, gunpowder... black powder to be exact, which is in itself salty, spicy, and sweet. I was looking for a good scent I could relate to, and though I honestly didn’t have this mix in mind, I decided to go for it based on the reviews and the fact that the company is closely engaged in the process and the customer experience, offering a replacement or refund if one were not to like the initial purchase. So, if you’ve ever wondered what you’d smell like in 1858 after riding a bit on your horse while fumbling to reload your Remington single action, in an idealistic and in no way nasty sense, this is what your answer would be!!

I’ve been looking to replace my sandalwood essential oil that the Art of Shaving decided to discontinue, so I was attracted to this product. However, the sandalwood is very subtle in this scent. The leather scent seems to prevail with the girlfriend, but I am convinced I smell like fresh pipe tobacco and, believe it or not, a very pleasant hint of gunpowder. Historically, my olfactory senses are more acute than most so I’m betting the majority of people will notice the leathery scent. Maybe it’s indicative of my childhood, but I absolutely love the smell of pipe tobacco and gunpowder. Applied as directed, lasts about 5 hours... about the same as my Allure by Chanel. And yes, I do believe Pacino would wear this.

Feature Product

  • What does it smell like? Blazing Saddles solid cologne is the smell of a Western movie: leather, gunpowder, sandalwood, and sagebrush. It smells like you just walked off the set of A Fistful of Dollars.
  • What is solid cologne? It's a pocket-perfect round tin of pressed cologne that you can carry with you wherever you go. It's not overpoweringly strong, but easy to re-apply if you need a little boost. They're designed to create an ambiance, not an impact.
  • How do you use it? Rub it directly on your pulse points (yeah, go ahead and rub the tin right on there!) - or - swirl your finger around on the surface until it's nice and warmed, and then apply.
  • How are they made? These are small-batch, handcrafted solid colognes. They come in a little tin with a twist-top, and the little tin comes in a very fine (and reusable, I might add) match-style slider box. It's made with natural ingredients like cocoa butter and beeswax. It's hard to the touch, but melts when you warm it a little bit.
  • 100% satisfaction guaranteed. We're emphatic about your happiness. All colognes are different, and they interact with your personal body chemistry, so what smells great on one person might smell like a hot mess on another person. If you don't love it, please return it for a full refund. All we ask is that you give it a try.

Description

What does an Outlaw smell like? In short, an Outlaw smells like an American hero.

In long, an Outlaw smells like leather, sandalwood, gunpowder, sage, two kinds of campfire (the nighttime campfire and the daybreak campfire), and a little dirt. An Outlaw smells like the sexiest golarn thing you can imagine, and then about 12 times sexier than that.

An Outlaw is too old for 'Axe' and too young for 'Old Spice.' Too old for rot-gut whiskey and too young to give up whiskey outright.

This solid cologne could be used by the kind of cowboys that other cowboys sing about. This solid cologne is the kind of cologne that makes married men late for work. This signature scent will turn your day into a celebration of every. dern. reason you woke up this morning: because you have Things to Do.

But you don't have to do them too fast. And that's why it's called "the sexiest cologne ever."

Our solid colognes are made in small batches (of just 15!) right here in the USA. They're the perfect gift for any cowboy or cowgirl you know. They come in very giftable and reusable kraft boxes that have an abbreviated version of the above description and contain one of a dozen different quotes. The 1 oz twist-top tin is perfect for carrying in your pocket all day.

All our scents are skin-safe and long-lasting. Because we feel like scent is a personal thing to be shared between you and those literally closest to you, these are subtle scents. They will not overpower a crowded elevator or make you "that guy with all the cologne." They're designed to create an ambiance, not an impact.

Ingredients: Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Rosemary Seed Extract, and Fragrance Oil.

We are Outlaw Colognes (also Outlaw Soaps). We're a tiny little company in Gold Country, California, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We live fast and take chances, but keep our rubber sides down

Comment 1: I have never used a solid cologne before, always used a spray, and at that hardly use the spray cologne because it is hard to carry, and tends to over power anyone within the spray area.
Comment 2: This is truely a man's cologne. Not over powering, not flowery or 'fresh as the mountain lily or citris fruit', not sissy. Just a nice, soft scent.
Comment 3: This is my new product. Plan on sending me on routine schedule. Thank you. Ken

The Blazing Saddles scent didn't work out well for me. Several people commented on the "medicinal" smell which likely came from the Sage. I took advantage of their customer satisfaction policy and received The Badlands scent which I absolutely love. I live in the Rocky Mountains and this scent reminds me of a lingering campfire late at night.

I was watching Deadwood the Movie last night and caught a few whiffs as I was getting up to retrieve a soda from the kitchen. The smell transported me back to 1889 South Dakota. I realize I'm romanticizing the time period since stench permeated these former mining camps well into the 20th century.

The only drawback is the longevity. A note to the Outlaw Cologne. Please consider adding this fragrance to a leather cleaner/moisturizer. I've rubbed the wax into the handle on my Saddleback Leather out of Fort Worth saddle bag more than a few times.

It smells like what I would envision the Wild West to smell like. Not a really loud scent, but I rub a little on my mustache so I smell it all day. Definitely hits all the description scent notes. It doesn’t change into a different scent after it’s settled. Doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Didn’t give me any kind of irritation. And it’s “pocket” sized!

This is pretty good! My lady companion approves, so it already does what it needs to do. This one is my preferred "date night" cologne.

This isn't overpowering, even when first applied. After a couple hours it's not easily detectable at across-the-table distances. (In short, this is a more subtle kind of fragrance.) This is fine since it remains detectable for many hours at the all-important close range (certainly for far longer than most spray-ons in its price range). In sum, it's cologne that's easy to use correctly.

For longer engagements, the benefits of solid cologne become clear. The tin may be tiny but I'll probably get several months of use out of it. But the real party trick: It's a *tin.* This is mote than a little safer to keep in a bag, briefcase or office drawer than a glass bottle. I practice law and this is a very useful feature (though I use Fire in the Hole for work, usually).

If you like to smell like a middle school locker room, or like to wear enough cologne to be a walking fire hazard, this probably isn't for you. If you like a subtle, old-school kind of cologne in a very convenient form, this is worth a try.

I love this scent and so does practically every woman I've walked past while wearing it. Some of my female friends ask if I have it on me so they can borrow a little.

It's definitely an amazing but noticeable scent that eases off after a few minutes. Nothing overpowering but long lasting and classy.

I like the screw top metal container. It is a full ounce container, so it's a little large for carrying around in you pocket. But it is a solid, so it is travel friendly and it should last a long time before you run out.
