This is the 2nd set of Andis MC-2 clippers that I have owned. We bought the first set to clip our springer spaniel(lots of hair) for a few years. After that they lasted me another 11yrs of cutting my own hair with them. I dropped them on the garage floor about 6 yrs into owning them and cracked the casing. I super glued and duct taped them back together and they lasted another 5 years until they got knocked off the counter and cracked the casing beyond repair. I typically cut my hair every 2 weeks so I got roughly 286 cuts out of the first pair. The new pair arrived today so I gave them a shot. There is a sticker on the side that specifically says to adjust the power screw, I figured I would see how they did without doing this. About 3 inches into the first cut they bogged down. I adjusted the power screw and the clippers flew through the rest of the cut, just like my 11 year old pair. I expect to get many years of good use out of these. Anyone who has had issues with lack of power more than likely did not properly adjust the clippers. For the price I don't think you can beat these.
Used Clippers last night and they did a pretty good job. The only thing I can see that needs improving is the length of the electrical cord. I would like to see the cord at least 2 foot (24"~ 9.5 cm) longer. The actual cord length is 69 inches/175.26 cm (the length of the cord on my "Oyster Ten" is 144 inches/3.6576 m). The shipping was very good and arrived ahead of the targeted date for delivery. The packaging was excellent without being too cumbersome. Motor sound very quiet and feels strong. The attachments fit on the clippers very good and I see no chance of them coming off during normal hair cutting procedures. Overall I give this set of clippers a score of 85 out of a possible 100. I guess I should also say, it's worth the money (so far).

I've only used these a few times and feel it is a great kit for a starter like me. I've never cut hair and bought them to try and cut my toddlers hair and save some cash. Haircuts around me with a tip are $25-30 for a 2 year old. I find this insane... Price has gone up since I bought but would buy it again in a heartbeat. Its held up well, I even dropped it as I nervously startled my son on our first attempt. Didn't phase the clippers. I still won't attempt to cut my son's hair near holidays or important events but the clippers do a great job.
Easy to use, various clipper heads, runs well for 3 haircuts (so far) and cuts hair cleanly, avoiding going over the same area. Typical scissors, lubricant, cleaning brush, etc. included.
Very good deal for $11.

Great clipper, price, delivery, easily does the job of those with higher price tags. Weight is heavy but not overly so and seems to be made of quality parts (maybe not so much the on/off switch but you can't have it all with rock bottom pricing). Runs extremely quiet and cool, with a close shave doesn't irritate the scalp. Couldn't be happier with purchase. Have also had good luck with Andis clippers over many years.
My husband loves it. He uses it on himself and on both my kids. It works like it needs to and its very durable.
We bought these to replace a set we bought 5 yrs ago and finally died . these are heavier than the other one . I'm hoping this lasts as long
Great brand but didn't come with the 1/2 attachment and wasn't strong enough out the box to use on a dog, I will spend more money next time to get more power and attachments.
