Let me start by saying that I never used any hard products before this one. I decided to grow my hair out and did my research on good molding paste products and this popped up! And I couldn't agree more with the product description for this. You can use as little or as much as you want. Put alot and you can get a a more gel look with the really defined hairs, or put in a little bit and then you get hold but it won't even look like you put anything in your hair. I really like it. No flakes no matter how much you touch it. Only con is you gotta wet your hair before applying, but that's common from what I read. I definitely recommend this product!
I bought this due to a great review in GQ magazine. The first time I used it was on my blown dried hair and it was like a strong white paste that dulled my normal shine and made me look like I had a slight grey overtone up top. Then next time I used Aveda antihumectant balm first to give my hair a glistening base then applied the V76. That was all I needed to do for a fabulous effect. My hair stayed soft but in place all day and did not have any grey cast to it. It a new favorite for me. I usually use Aveda control paste after the antihumectant but this stuff hold even better
Strong smell- not exactly off putting, but it definitely is noticeable

Holds hair well- slight firmness to hair after initial drying, but it ultimately feels light weight, non greasy and looks natural
If you have the right type hair and are looking for a molding paste for the right type of styling, then this molding paste works perfect. Do your research first to ensure you understand when to use molding paste and what styles it's best for. For a molding paste, this brand works very well, does not leave behind a goofy or sticky feel. Holds the hair well all day and provides flexibility to touch up during the day.
This hair paste is about double the cost of many others, but I also seem to only use less than half I would with others. Don’t let the small container fool you - it is about the same cost per day as other stuff.
I have fine but very dense hair, and this product will hold with a very late application. As others have mentioned, it is very easy to work with, especially if you warm it in your hands. I like a slightly wetter look so I apply damp, but I’ve also run my hand through my hair at the end of they day when it’s bone dry and it looks good after that too.

My local hair-supply -store has sadly discontinued this product. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. I have very fine and thinning hair. I do the side comb over hair look, the stylish one, not the old guy one. Most hair gels pastes and creams leave my hair feeling sticky or shinny. This leave my hair soft to the touch with just enough hold. My hair does not move out of place once it sets.
I was looking for a hair styling product to replace the dearly departed Jonathan Product, namely “Dirt”. I tried so many that my wife was getting ready to call in for a specialist to review my mental health. Finally, I found this one and my search is over. It is great and I absolutely love it for my hair type.
I have tried other products similar to this and for me this works best for my thin hair. The other plus side of this is that has a very pleasant smell unlike the American Crew products similar to this. The only thing that I hate about this product is the price, but until I can't afford it I will be buying this.
The paste is closer to a cream, very soft. It goes in very smooth and my hair just likes it. Some say it has no scent, but it definitely does have a soft coconut scent, kinda like suntan lotion. The scent only lasts about an hour. The hold is fairly light, but good enough to keep shape. I can always fix my hair when it blows away, for maybe 8 hours, then it starts to wear off. Will buy again.
Great product and after application I can’t smell anything, even though the smell is pleasant which I don’t mind. If your hair is shorter or mid length like mine this is a great product that will last. For long hair I could see you going through it quickly and might suggest something else. Overall, I’m going to continue buying this and using it.
