This scent smells absolutely amazing - my favorite among the many shaving creams I've tried over the years. It's what you might expect of a OUD scent, but if you've never smelled this before, it's woody, spicy with a bit of bergamot and some other things. It's a very manly scent, if that's what you are looking for. Anyway, the lather becomes thick and rich very quickly, and lasts quite awhile. Also, I've dropped the container a few times and it hasn't cracked or shattered on my bathroom floor like certain other ones have. Seems like a well made product in every respect. I know it looks expensive at first glance, but notice the size is 5oz! That's larger than average - in fact it's about double the size of some competing products. So all in all, it's not really as expensive as it seems, and in my opinion is also the best shaving cream I've used.
The shaving cream is excellent for shaving, no surprise there. I don't know what it is about this scent but I am totally enthralled. And while I enjoy various scents, I usually lose interest after a few uses. With this one, a month in and I still look forward to the scent during the morning shave.
I note that the companion pre-shave oil is blah in terms of scent so don't buy just on the basis of the shave cream.
Many people are haters of TAOS products, since they're under parent conglomerate/multinational corp (P&G). But putting ones corporate politics aside, this Oud shaving cream is amazing! Excellent performance, the scent is top-shelf, and this tub should last you a loooooong time. This shaving cream is truly on the softer side, but that makes it super-easy to load/lather, and very little product is needed overall (even for a full 3-pass shave). If you're a fan of creams and/or Oud scents, you owe it to yourself to pick up a tub of this stuff!
This stuff is great I own the sandalwood set as well. This scent has more of a cologne smell, to be honest. It is definitely stronger as in the scent lingers longer than the sandalwood. I love both of them and wear either the sandalwood or oud depending on the occasion.
Amazing smell and lathers your skin smooth enough to get a very close shave. I have sensitive skin and get shaving bumps easy, but not once have I gotten shaving bumps or ingrown hairs while I use this product. I bought one puck, and I shave about 3-4 times a week and I've had this for about 4 months still more than half way full. Great purchase for the price!

The Art of Shaving Cream Oud
The nice part about this is that you get a fair amount of product for your money. Smells nice too. It's not a sandalwood smell but it's still good. Have received compliments on the odor as well. The shaving cream lasts for a long while as well. Just a dab will work. I don't use a brush but just apply with fingers. Good stuff.
Definitely a fan of the new scent. It is my new favorite (for my hubby). The sandalwood was our favorite but I like this one better. It is a little more fragrant and more woodsy. More of a cologne smell and very masculine.
The shave cream smells great and works great also. But, I haven’t noticed any difference in quality from this shave cream versus other Art Of Shaving creams. I wonder if the pleasant scent is worth $5 per container
Wow. I’ve tried a lot of expensive Shaving creams, this one is truly excellent
This is the original item. A small pea sized scoop is plenty for a creamy shave using a brush. Moisturizes well.
