I'm writing a review to point out that this is a PRE - shave cream. Meaning it is to be applied to your face before your lather. There are reviews that lead me to believe people are trying to lather this product. PRE-Shave cream is meant to help moisturize your skin & hair and further protect your skin. I usually don't need this product but I'm about to start using a straight and want the extra help. I've heard that this cream can help produce lather more easily when face lathering but if you do get this product alone to lather I'm in AWE of your lathering ability.
Proraso makes highly regarded shave products and easily gets five stars for their performance.
A kinda old school scent, but I like it. My wife thinks it smells like an old man's shave cream however. To each their own, I suppose. I will continue to use this Italian shave cream. It lathers well if you put in the time to really swirl it in the shave bowl with your badger brush (and just the right amount of water), maybe 30-45 seconds is sufficient. This Proraso Shave Cream is a definite keeper for me.
PRORASO Pre-Shave Cream is the only cream that I use and only buy it from Amazon !
Great pre-shave touted by many in the shaving community. This is simply a restocking order.
I would not use anything else now.

Yes true it doesn't lather up?
It's a great pre shave, vs. oil products that will clog the razor & make a mess in the sink.
Just use hot water to get beard wet, then just add a thin coat on area that needs shave.
The add there shaving cream in a cup, work into a lather, and lather up, & shave!
Works great.
I love this stuff - one bottle lasts for quite a long time and it feels wonderful on your face before a shave. Just the right amount of tingle as it wakes up your face!
