I tried saving a few bones by just using jojoba oil, and then tried making my own oil blend, but it wasn't worth the time or effort. This product works so much better than just jojoba oil alone, and was better and cheaper than my attempts of coming up with my own blend. Even though it's "Fragrance Free" the natural ingredients do impart their natural scent properties to this beard oil, so it has a mild sweet smell to it. I apply right after I get out of the shower and it leaves my beard softer, smelling good, and easier to groom. All this with no harsh chemicals and at a great price.
I've been using HA for a long time (oils, balms and waxes). It's been a few years since I last used the Classic Oil as I had transitioned to coconut oil after my last bottle had run out. Feeling nostalgic, I order a bottle of this when the Classic Oil was not available for S & S. Here are some thoughts:
1) Usage: A little goes a LONG way and I recommend using lightly with additional products as you are sure to weigh a larger beard down.
2) Scent: I have a sensitive sense of smell and smell nothing when I use this. I mean nothing. Maybe there is something there, but I don't smell it.
3) My preference: I've gotten very used to using Coconut Oil on my beard (and the skin underneath). It lasts forever and it doesn't weigh my beard down. It's a preference thing and nothing more. When I use this, it is in addition to the Coconut Oil, not in lieu of.
4) End result: The benefits of HA oil are gospel for me. So if I only use the co during the day, I am sure to coat my skin and beard with this at night for the healthy beard properties alone. If I use this in addition to the co during the day, I comb through multiple times (when first applied and then about 15 minutes later after drying) to ensure my beard does not get weighed down.
5) My skin and beard are happy.

After deciding to allow my beard to grow out much longer, I found that I needed to use something to help keep the hair from becoming a frizz-fest. This product along with the "Honest Amish Beard Balm" does a great job of solving that problem. I'm very allergic to scented things which give me very bad headaches within minutes. So, finding these "fragrance free' versions of beard oil and balm was what ultimately convinced me to try them out. It does not make your face or beard oily which was a complete surprise to me. Its like your beard just absorbs the beneficial effect and lays down a lot better vs not using these products. My wife says that my beard is softer now and I have noticed that change too since using these products. Really love this product and will be using it daily as long as I have a beard or until I take a dirt-nap. :)
Where to start? First....my go to, must have, and won’t leave behind beard oil! This stuff turned my dry itchy face around and in a hurry! If I miss a day or two it’ll get me right back on track. The smell is solid and not over the top. I have some others I use when me and the lady go out but this is my staple work horse! If you have a beard the honest Amish line is phenomenal and affordable!
This really helped make my beard softer and got rid of the itch that usually stopped be from continuing to have a beard. I used to give up on it and go bare faced for years, but this is helping me get over that itchy hump in beard growth, and making it feel and look great too! Can’t say anything is wrong with it honestly. That’s all I can really say.

Most nonscented oils still have some scent to them, foil or not. This one, however, has nearly no smell to it at all. The function of the oil suits me just fine. It absorbs just enough not to be greasy and is oily enough not to run off. It keeps the skin under my beard in good condition.
The beard oil works well so far, applies and absorbes easily into the hairs. Is pretty equal to other brands I have used as far as quality. As some other reviewers have stated its isn't completely unscented, there are no added fragrances, but you can smell the odor of the natural oils. It's not an unpleasant scent, just be aware that it does have a very slight odor. As an oil before a scented balm it works great, and won't interfere with the balms fragrance.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that whoever packed the bottle didn't make sure the lid was fully tightened, and about .5oz of the 2oz leaked into and was absorbed by the burlap bag and other packaging.
I use this for my beard and to moisturize facial and scar skin... and it works great. Softens the skin, and stops the itch on scars.
I prefer the classic oil with fragrance I have learned, smells manly and fresh, but as far as beard oils go Honest Amish are the best I've ever used. Leaves your beard feeling soft, fluffy, and moisturized. I mix some in the palm of my hand with their beard balm and apply it daily with a comb after I shower.
Best beard oil I have tried. It has a very nice scent, and really makes my beard and face look and feel good. It has the perfect viscosity-not too thick and not too thin. I'm on my 6th bottle. I don't even shop around any more. Great product. Get some. Your beard will thank you.
