I'm in love with this comb. I have course, long, curly hair, which I pretty much can't brush until I wash it and I can't wash it as often as usual. This comb helps to separate the tangles without causing blowout and frizz. The Sandlewood collects the natural oils and lubricates the dryer hair at the bottom of the shaft. You can't tell from the picture, but usually my hair is not as smooth as this. It is either a frizzy poof or a tangled mess.
I have medium-length fine hair that tends to be dry, and I wanted to find an alternative to my cheap plastic drugstore comb because it was causing a lot of breakage (and was grimy after several years, ew). This is a beautiful and well-packaged comb. Because it's all comb (no handle), it covers a substantially larger amount of hair, which I like. The relatively wide teeth are great for detangling post shower, but they're not so wide that it can't serve as an everyday comb as well. It does feel nice on the scalp, as they say of wood combs. I personally like the sandalwood smell, though I could see how someone else might not. I haven't yet dropped it or otherwise tested its durability, but it seems pretty sturdy.
I have long hair, well past my hips and I needed a wide tooth comb that would be gentle when removing tangles and knots.
This comb is made of Sandalwood, and it does have a slight sent of sandalwood. Which I like. I love the wide teeth of the comb, it glides through my hair and gently maneuvers out tangles. I threw out my own brush.
It was small than I thought it would be, but it fits in my hand fine. It's a new feeling combing my hair - I'm used to having a handle. I'm pleased to say that this comb feels like it won't suddenly snap in the middle of my hair. I even pushed my thumb against a tooth, and it is solid.
I've always avoided dry combing my hair. So right now my hair is starting to get into dreds and it's getting matted. Sometimes it's hard to comb/brush my hair from combs breaking, brushes just taking care of the top part, my arm stamina, to it hurting too much to continue. The wide tooth doesn't snag into all the knots but it's the start of de-tangling my hair- so it hurts less, it goes through smoother and my arm isn't as tired. Next I'll get a finer tooth but in the meantime I'm happy I'm able to finally comb my hair again.
I've been loving this comb! To be fair, it's been the first wide-tooth comb I've ever used, but I don't think I'll ever use another comb/brush again. The wood is really high-quality. My routine is to use Dr. Bronner's soap as my shampoo, apple cider vinegar as a rinse, and then (if my hair is still feeling a bit dry/tangly) running a tiny bit of coconut oil on the ends of my hair. This comb glides through my hair and leaves it feeling clean and pampered. Since my hair tends to shed, it's also easy to wipe the hair off (instead of it getting accumulated in the cracks like other combs/brushes).
A great staple if you're making the switch to more natural beauty products! I'm not compensated in any way for this review, just wanting to share why I found this comb so great. Please let me know if you found his review helpful! :)

This is by far the best comb I’ve ever had. I have really fine and naturally dry hair. I’ve own many wide toothed plastic combs, and everyone has been scratchy and snags. Not at all with this. It’s the widest toothed I’ve found, but it still loosens my natural curl and wave. It doesn’t snag at all on my hair! It’s awesome for that alone. Beautifully made, very substantial. This will not only last, but I’ve already ordered two more in different styles.
My stylist recommended that I get one of these to help with tangles. He was right. I've had this comb for a few months and it has been very helpful for detangling long hair when it is wet. When I showed him this comb, he was so impressed with the wide gaps between the teeth that decided to get one for himself. He said that, in his experience, a one-piece comb will last longer than this one (which consists of two pieces of wood bonded together) but he said if I keep it dry when not in use, it shouldn't be a problem. I do recommended this item.
Very good comb. The thick teeth untangle my fine long hair better and far more gently than the plastic ones ever did. After a few months it still has a faint sandalwood scent. My only concern is that it started turning black on one side a couple of months ago. I put a tiny bit of coconut oil on it every so often to keep it smooth and keep it in a place with plenty of air circulation. Hope this is normal...?
This comb was a gift from my husband. I love It smells heavenly and the wood has a tigers eye gleam to the grain. My children swear it is magic - it brushes sadness out with every knot combed. My youngest asks to sleep with it at night to smell it. It helped her give up her passy at night without tears. Couldn’t be happier.
I was tired of my hair brush always looking a mess, and I don't enjoy cleaning hair brushes, so I replaced it with this comb for wet hair detangling, and then ordered a finer tooth tortoise comb to use during styling. This comb is so beautiful, and lightly scented of Sandalwood. I dry mine off each time after using to detangle wet hair so wood will not warp. Highly Recommend this if you love aesthetics like I do!
