I'm a middle-aged male and I've been using a competing product for about a year. Decided I'd try this just on a whim, because I like Link's Peanut Butter and Peppermint Lip Balm, and this was recommended to me. I like it! I normally use a "paste" product, which is more like a "cadbury creme filling" sort of texture, but the Mythical Pomade is more of a "whipped cream" texture. If you know what those jars of Noxzema face wash are like, it's basically the same. Thusly, one star deducted because although you get about twice as much as any other similar pomade, you have to use about twice as much. so not much of a "deal." As far as performance, once again, I like it. I have medium-thick, medium brown hair. This is described as a medium hold, but I put it more toward the "strong hold" end of the spectrum. I find it best to put on your hair not wet, but a little more than damp. Putting it on dry hair will just frustrate you. Once it's in there, getting a come through it (at least on my head) was a bit difficult! It holds! It really has not much of a scent, which I also like. The best part, NO CLUMPING! AMAZING! It does have a "different" feel than most other products. When you put it in your hair, you get a gritty/sticky feeling, but not a negative, just requires a bit of an adjustment. Performance remained great throughout the day, and it's become my favourite hair styling product. I hope it continues to remain available in this formulation.
When you have a son whose birthday is right after Christmas, you panic occasionally when you realize you forgt to get him anything and you have, like, 2 days. Which makes Amazon Prime the love of my life. (Side note: for the 1st time in YEARS had some delivery fiascoes at Christmas with Amazon Prime, and in complaining to the customer service lady, I told her that I was "thinking of ending my relationship with Amazon"! She looked at my account and we both paused and had a little chuckle. And realized that, no, I'm not going anywhere. Amazon, you adorable rascal). Anyway, my son loves Good Mythical Morning--and if you have a funny bone, so do you. Not just promotional junk, either, this is GOOD STUFF--we like our hair over here--and smells really nice, kind of woodsy, not too strong. Their peppermint-peanut butter lip balm is also amazing.
I have an asymmetrical haircut where one side is shorter than the other. I've had issues with the shorter parts of the cut not laying right at times. This has been the perfect solution.
I take a small amount, rub it over my hands, wet my hands, run my hands over the problem areas and then comb or brush. I rinse my hands a little bit more then wipe them off on a towel. A little bit can go a long way and I've not even used half of the container yet. I'll absolutely get more, I just don't think I'll need it anytime soon.
I love this pomade, truly I do! There are a few issues, such as the fact that when my pixie cut (I have fine, straight hair) gets a bit long on top (I would guess about Rhett's length when I'm in need of a cut), the pomade by itself isn't enough to keep my hair standing up. I don't know if I don't use enough or what, but I don't like to use a lot of product anyway. Now when my hair is super short, where I really like it, the pomade is fantastic. Nothing but it and some hairspray, and my 'do can be spiky or sleek with little effort or product. The smell is nice, very faint and reminiscent of a lotion. It could smell just a tiny bit stronger or better, but really, not a big problem. Great value for the size of the container (which lasts a looong time in my experience), and very much makes my mane feel Mythical!
Best hair paste I have used!! As I said, this is a paste (pomade paste in description) so be sure you know what you are getting. I have naturally fine and VERY straight hair so I have always had to use products to get my hair to do anything. I would compare this product to a "tea tree" like brand I have used in the past, however...this one has now taken over its place in my bathroom as my #1 pick. It applies very well and can be used for many different styles without giving you that shiny/glossy look. Bottom line, if you are looking for a salon quality product that is cheaper and can make you look your mythical best...look no further!

I have a lot of volume and it can be tough to tackle. I use a quick scoop of this on my finger, rub it into my hands and spread it on my slightly damp hair. It spreads easy, doesn't clump and lasts all day without looking as if I have any product in my hair.
I will keep buying this forever. Also, I preferred the little green canister but I know the orange one is more brand compliant.
Got this in the mail yesterday. Tried it out immediately. Upon opening the container, it smelled like lotion. But when it mixes with my hair, hoo boy, does some magic happen. The smell gets better! And the hold it has on my hair is fantastic. One of the biggest drawbacks of most commercially available hair styling products is that they can be hard to wash off my hands Not the case here. It washes right off. And speaking of washing, it washes right out of my hair, too, with no problem.
I have tried COUNTLESS men’s pomade products over the years. I could never find the right one for me. My wife knows I love GMM & ordered me a few of their products as a gift. I was surprised that their pomade is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! It goes in your hair easy, it’s non greasy, it has a medium hold & washes out immediately. I do a light mist of hair spray to give a longer lasting hold. The first can I got lasted almost a full year. I’m on my second & love it.
I wanted to support internetainment, and Rhett & Link claimed you didn't have to have short hair to use this so I figured, what the heck. I'm pretty sure this jar is going to be handed down for three generations because I only use a microscopic amount, but it does great work of taming the crazy fly-away bits on the sides of my head that have been driving me nuts my whole life. I put a barely visible amount on when my hair is still wet just before blow-drying, and I'm so happy with the results! Plus the cute factor of the jar is through the roof between the Randler and the men themselves.
